Dressed in odd black clothing that didn't suit her taste, the white witch anxiously sat in Don's office that was situated on the first floor. It was vast o with modern minimalistic furniture which reflected the straightforward man that he was.
She had been waiting for over thirty minutes for him to return but he was nowhere to be seen.
Just as she picked her bag to leave, he strutted in with an orange medium sized bag.
"Finally, I was about to walk out of here Don,
You told me to wait for two seconds but you took forever to get back thank your lucky stars that impatience is a virtual am trying to learn."
He chuckled, "come on Luna, it's been just thirty minutes don't exaggerate, however being the gentleman that I am, I apologize for making you wait longer that I said you should, here have this." Don placed the box beside her and gestured to her to open it.
Puzzled she took the box and flipped it open.
Inside was a black curly bob wig and vintage big round sunglasses.

Luna had reluctantly agreed to his request that she dresses in a black loosely fit outfit that covered all parts of her body including her toes.
Bewildered by the ridiculous entreaty, she asked "Why do I have to dress down? Whose this client Don? I have a terrible premonition about this already? I want to back out." Luna gaped at the pile of hand me downs he had brought with him.
"Don't worry, I washed and disinfected them thoroughly. They are safe to wear." He covered his mouth with his hand so she couldn't see his mouth curl into a giddy smile.
This was all absurd to her, even when she was broke and hustling in the slums, she never got to the point of wearing ragged clothes and this man wanted her to wear them to please a client.
Her situation was truly laughable, she examined the huge pile and chose the one she felt would best suit her figure.
"What do you think? Luna asked Don who begged her to change to something else because it was too tight.
"Try this instead." He threw her a dress that was almost double her size.
"You must be kidding me, whoever it is he better pays triple of my usual fee." Luna pouted and grabbed the dress that had landed on the floor close to her feet.
Don laughed the moment she stepped out of the bedroom, she looked like she had borrowed a dress from her great grandmother's closet.
"Now that's more like it, however we have to do something about that white hair, give me two seconds I'll be back." He dashed out saying he'll be back after 2 seconds.
-
"Hurry up, you're ride is here!" Don slid his phone back into his coat pocket
"What's the rush?" She tucked the last strands of hair into the wig.
Don sternly warned her to refrain from asking any unnecessary or offending questions and to comply with whatever she's asked to do.
In response Luna's asked with anticipation "Is it the President of this country? I don't get what the fuss is all about." She folded her arms and stared at him with half lidded eyes.
He pointed his index finger at her "That's what am taking about right there, kill your suspension, I already told you what you need to know." Don grabbed her wrist and pulled her to follow him.
The ride she was expecting was a fancy limousine but the one she got was a black drone with tinted windows plus a police escort car right behind it.
'Maybe I was right it's big shot in government.' She had seen so many of them at Euphoria so it wouldn't be surprising at all.
A burly man all dressed in black stood at ease before her "Mrs Luna Grey, please hand over all your communication devices, I assure you that they'll be safe and will be returned to you after your done with the job."
Luna obeyed without hesitation because she could understand that he was just doing his job. She checked it one last time with hope that maybe Logan had sent a message, her heart arched when she saw nothing there.
"Here, let's get this done with." She entered the car and waved at Don who didn't wave back but rather looked at her like she was being taken for sacrifice as the door was shut trapping her in. The short drive was filled with anxiety and the bodyguard didn't make it easier either, the garrulous man kept talking about all the things she was forbidden to, the only thing she was allowed to do was to breathe.
Her straight face quickly changed to a frown when they arrived, It wasn't the State house where the President lived nor was it the residence of someone in government.
'CHRISTIAN LIFE CHURCH' She read the big sign post above the strong Iron gate. The people inside were all dressed in black just like her, probably because they were in mourning however they looked both impoverished and malnourished.
A thin lady who wore a tag that read -deaconess- welcomed her
"Please follow me, my dear white lord is waiting to receive you."
Luna nodded nervously and followed suit, Don was right about one thing, asking about anything that was going on around here was out of the question.
On the way to the holy residence where the white lord stayed, the woman went on and on preaching the word of God hoping to convert her faith, Luna noted that their beliefs were twisted from the actual biblical gospel that she knew.
'This is obviously a cult of some kind' Luna swallowed hard and prayed to get out there in one piece.
The white lord all dressed in white was someone see had seen a couple of times at Euphoria doing all the wicked things the Bible termed as sinful.
"Am sure that you've been briefed about this case. What I want to know is what happened to my daughter, she vomited blood out of the blue and dropped dead."
Together they walked to where the decaying corpse lay, it had began to produce a foul smell but all the weeping women acted like they couldn't smell a thing.
'Yuck' Luna pinched her nose with her fingers attracting glances that exuded bitterness from the mourners.
Feeling indifferent she asked " Why was the body not embalmed? It would have helped with the smell." Luna was getting a strong urge to gag.
The white lord raised his hands to the heavens "Our beliefs forbid us from using the non believers medicine, we can only use herbs gifted to us from the heavens.
She was not about to debate on that topic "I politely request that we use a room with a more pleasant smell." Luna marched out before he could respond.
The suspects believed to have been in contact with the deceased were lined up before her in the room adjacent to the one with the corpse.
"Are these the only people that were with the deceased before she passed on?" Luna asked the White lord who nodded in response.
The dead girl's mother was wailing louder than roaring thunder, her face was pale white, she looked like she had not had anything to eat for days. "I need to know the person that killed my beloved daughter, why me! God why me?" She punched her chest with her feeble fist.
Luna couldn't help but sympathize with the mother over her loss, she exhaled deeply and took of the big sunglasses off while she critically scanned each person that was nervously standing before her, they all looked too timid and petrified of what was to come next.
