As Micheal made his escape, I had other troubles to deal with. Trouble? Pardon my poor wording, more like noise to handle. These pests were not trained nor did they have any sort of combat ability. It was an adult fighting against a disabled child.
My eyes were about to shut off on their own before I finally decided to take action. One of the grunts had begun to charge towards me. I stood still, gazing into nothingness. As he was about to swing, I grabbed him by the throat and crushed it, throwing his body to the side.
The grunts that saw this were understandably shook. Some even dropped to the ground as I turned to face them all.
"Ladies and Gentleman. I truly hope you all value your life to retreat before I lose my temper for good."
My voice was riddled with a cold tone and my appearance made me seem like a dark metallic demon, scorched through the flames of hell. Do I blame them? No. With a quick inhale of breathing, I sheathed the karambits I had used up to that point. Without removing them once from my grip.
I drifted through my body armor, grabbed the handles of my two vipers and turned around to stare down my so-called "enemies."
"Time. Is. Up."
As those words were muttered, my enemies began to tremble. I looked at them, observing them and their breathing had become hastened with some of them even attempting to run away. But my instincts were too fast, the itch on bullet fingers had taken hold of my arms as I shot 5 of them down.
"You entered this room with about 40? 43 Of you? Apologies but I don't have time to count you anymore. I don't keep track of bodies."
Whether I liked it or not, a smile had crept onto myself behind my mask as I began to shoot them down one by one. Some attempted to fight back, firing their AM-14's but the bullets wouldn't even leave a dent on my armor.
I began to run and shoot them down one by one. I stumbled across a dining table and kicked it over to provide myself for some cover. I knew my armor's capabilities but in this line of work, chances cannot be taken lightly!
Through this whole standoff that lasted no more than 10 minutes I had taken out around 38 of them. 5 had slipped through my fingers but they weren't worth chasing. As I had finished this whole ordeal I tried to rush towards Micheal who by now would almost be running away in his luxury car, I felt a sensation in my hand. The dark flame, my Elira was giving off small sparks.
I decided to follow it, firstly by sheathing my pistols and pointing my hand towards the swarm of corpses that was scattered throughout the entire dining room. At first nothing happened but then, I felt my hand getting warmer. Subconsciously, a word was being whispered in my mind.
"Kindle."
As I muttered that word, a stream of a purple colored flame began to emit itself from my hand. The temperatures from it were so high the bodies began to catch flames as if they were drenched in gasoline! My eyebrows were raised, spinning my arm in a 180 degree angle to cover the whole room.
I stopped only because I couldn't maintain my Elira for long. My breathing had become dry and sweat drops had begun to fall off my face but with a grit of my teeth, I got up and got ready to chase after Micheal.
"Oi, Hael! The hell are you doing!"
That voice… Vesper!?
"Micheal is getting away, get your ass moving!"
"Where is he!?"
"Currently on the main street, hurry before you lose him!"
I rushed towards the parking lot where I came from, trying to find a vehicle, anything! I glanced to my left and right to finally find a Motorbike type Kurisama.
I stumbled across the bodies of the 4 fools I had previously killed to find the keys and lo and behold, the one I had killed in his sleep had the keys.
I jumped onto the Kurisama and turned it on, drifting its tires on the concrete floor before hitting the gas on it.
After just a split of a moment I had exited the parking lot with my gaze fixated on the road.
"Vesper. Info. Now."
"He is driving a White Bentley and is being escorted by one guard."
"Elira user?"
"Most definitely."
My eyes began to scout for a Bentley and once I found it fit the description. Micheal, I truly hope you are saying your prayers.
As I made the Motorbike push its limits, I saw Micheal put his upper body outside the window. Holding an old version of a tommy gun. This crazy bastard! He is threatening to shoot civilians!
"A BIT OF AN OLD FASHIONED WAY! WHAT DO YOU THINK!?"
As he shouted, my gaze was fixated on him with me biting my lip, we were surrounded by civilians, one wrong shot and a tragedy would occur.
Micheal began to fire his tommy gun at me and I was forced to dodge by moving in a zig zag, breaking my motor's balance but given enough space to draw one of my vipers and shoot one of the tires.
The car began to drift outside the highway, until it crashed near a bunch of cacti. Thankfully my armor had prevented me from taking any serious kind of damage as I laid on the ground. I lifted my body up and began to walk towards the Bentley.
"You bore me Micheal. But now you have taken a step too far."
As I ripped the door open I was met with a sudden stream of blood directly at me, I managed to block it in time with my arms but I felt the armor beginning to crack. Making me jump away with eyes focused on the vehicle and my arms slightly shaking.
What in the hell did I just witness? Curiosity could wait as I saw a female in a suit torn by the crash and the cactus' Glochid poking out deep within her skin. She was wounded and I could see the blood flowing down her right body.
"Do you enjoy the sight, creep?"
Her voice had clear notes of disgust before she was tying her hair up.
"Step away and you'll live. Last offer. I don't have time to deal with a street whore."
As she was done tying her hair up, she rip the right side of her suit away, revealing half of her black colored bra and wounded right side.
"I am sorry, but. I am gonna cost you more than that."
I was slowly getting fed up with these people. All so money blind they cannot even realize the possibility of death! But in all reality… Who am I trying to fool here?
I slowly began to laugh, loudly at that. I put my hand over my face as a smile formed.
"Yes, I suppose so. You may be right, you'll cost me a bit more. But the price you'll pay is your life."
I drew my two karambits and got ready to gut her to pieces. No beyond that! I'll carve her in half and feed her to the desert Fauna! This will be fascinating, to kill an Elira user!
