Chapter 34 - Truth About Zara

Olivia hesitated before going and sitting next to Kylie. Kylie looked at Zara and Andrew and signaled Andrew to say something. But Andrew didn't say anything and only glanced at Olivia before shifting his gaze to Zara.

Ava had already gone to the third floor, escorting the unconscious bodyguards to their servant quarters and cleaning the area. The Adam family constructed certain rooms in the estate for staff who had difficulty traveling or remaining.

So Ava took the unconscious bodyguards to rest in one of the rooms and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Kylie sighed in the living room at Andrew's actions and looked at Olivia. Kylie wanted to clarify facts about Zara to Olivia so that they could live together in the same house happily.

Kylie held Olivia's hand and spoke softly, "Olivia, we have something to tell you. And I believe you should have been aware of this by now." Olivia's heart was filled with mixed feelings. She reminded herself that it's not what she believes it is.

She already had an answer in her, but she refused to believe it. According to her, she is the only Adam family daughter who has been spoiled since childhood. Nobody can take that from her.

Kylie sat straight and told her everything about Zara, including what had happened and why she had been sent away. However, Kylie avoided to inform Olivia about her history, believing that she was still a kid.

Kylie was worried about how Olivia would react, or whether she would fear disrupting the family dynamic. Olivia didn't have her true family with her, and Kylie didn't want her to suffer anymore.

So Kylie told Olivia solely about Zara. Olivia was surprised when she heard the entire incident.

But Olivia couldn't think much and remarked to Kylie with a forced little grin, "Mom, I'm not going to lie to you and say I'm happy about the sudden existence of a sister. And I have to share my parents with her. Just give me some time to process all of this, Mom."

"I know about you, Olivia. You can take as much time as you need. We will not put you under any strain. Please take your time." Kylie smiled as she gently patted Olivia's hand.

Olivia, now that she knew the truth, looked at Zara and gave her a long stare. Zara is quite similar to her mother. And her steely glare is unmistakably from father.

Olivia was furious as she remembered Zara's arrogance when she first arrived here. She could no longer contain her feelings and rose up, saying, "Mom, Dad, I'll go to my room first."

"Okay, Olivia. But you should come down shortly for supper." Kylie grinned as she spoke. "Sure, Mom." Olivia mustered a grin as she spoke and went toward the stairs. When she turned, her grin disappeared and an angry frown emerged on her face.

Gia swiftly followed Olivia after nodding to Kylie and Andrew. She quickly arrived at the room, where she noticed Olivia sitting motionless and in deep thought.

Gia was worried seeing Olivia in this condition, so she approached her and discreetly said, "Young Miss. Young Miss." Olivia did not respond or blink when Gia called.

Gia was so taken aback that she assumed Olivia had been hurt and wanted to seek assistance. But before she did, Olivia said, "Gia, do you still see me as the daughter of this house?"

Gia was stunned to hear the words, but she felt sorry for Olivia and she looked so worried at Olivia and said, "Young Miss, everyone still sees you as the Young Miss of this house."

"Do you truly believe so, Gia? You don't grasp my current condition." Olivia scoffed, her lips curled.

"Young Miss. You seem to forget. Even if that girl returns home, she may become the Adam family's eldest daughter. But you're still the Young Miss in this house." Gia attempted to explain to Olivia.

"Do you think, it's the same as before?" Olivia got up and inquired calmly. "Now that the eldest daughter of the Adam family who had been proclaimed dead has returned. Do you believe everything will remain the same as before?"

Gia was perplexed as she looked at Olivia, who appeared serene. "But, young Miss. No one knows that the Adam family's eldest daughter has returned. Isn't that good for you?"

"How long do you believe it would be beneficial for me? Do you think they'll keep this private and not tell anyone else? "It's impossible." Olivia said.

"Young Miss, even if everyone finds out about it, nothing will change since everyone in the family will continue to pamper you as usual."

"Didn't you see Dad's look today when he saw that girl earlier? Do you believe I still have a chance in front of Dad? Even during normal hours, he seems reluctant to speak with me. But now he's staring at me fiercely." Olivia stated, her cheeks becoming scarlet with rage.

"What do you plan to do, Young Miss?" Gia inquired worriedly. "Gia, you'll be with me on whatever I do, right?" Olivia stared at Gia and inquired.

Without thinking much, Gia responded with a smile, "Yes, Young Miss. If you have any requests, please let me know. And I will always be here for you."

"Thank you, Gia. I know you're the best and the closest person I have in this house." Olivia exclaimed with delight as she held Gia's hand.

"Young Miss. It is my joy to serve you." Gia smiled happily as she spoke.

Downstairs, the pair continued to chat with Zara, but Andrew eventually remarked, "Let's not exhaust Lia. She merely returned today; let us give her a rest."

Zara smiled and added, "Mom and Dad, kindly freshen up and come down for dinner. I will be here." "OK then, Lia." Kylie replied as she stood up, and she and Andrew headed to their rooms to freshen up.

After freshening up, Andrew and Kylie asked Ava to call Olivia and sat at the table with Zara. Andrew sat in his usual position, with Kylie to his left and Zara to his right.

When Olivia walked down, she noticed the three people seated and conversing amicably. Without saying anything, she sat next to Kylie and smiled at her and Andrew. Kylie smiled back at her and directed the servants to serve supper.

Throughout the dinner, the pair was busy serving Zara. Kylie continued to serve Olivia so that she would not feel horrible. Olivia faked a grin every time Kylie served her, despite the fact that she was furious on the inside.
