The barbecue event went by on its usual course. Mr. Brigs ordered the first round of meat and nudged everybody else to put in a dish they liked. He then added some more as the plates were cleared. The boys and Mr. Brigs always had a bottle of beer or soju beside them while Kim and Lucy took it easy knowing they were both lightweights. Everyone was on friendly terms and it was not hard to carry on conversations until it reached the next person.
