Chapter 38 - The Strongest.(2)

BOOM! BOOOOOM!!

Uraume and Hakari fought fiercely across the city, destroying any landscapes they happened to interact with.

Their battle was a complete display of high level sorcery. Uraume's ability to wield her ice could only be matched by Hakari's semi-immortality.

If the fight continued at this rate, it would never reach a conclusion.

At least, until a third party intervened.

"Ice Formation..."

BOOM!

Dodging a dropkick from Hakari, Uraume slightly waved her hand across the ground, causing a massive explosion of ice that razed through multiple buildings.

Even though he was caught in it, within moments, Hakari's overwhelming RCT healed him completely, giving him access to enough power for him to recklessly break out of it.

"Tch...how annoying."

Uraume clicked her tongue and rushed at Hakari, trying to keep up the pressure on him.

But...

"Wait...hm?!"

She suddenly sensed someone with an absurd amount of cursed energy approaching them. While the feeling was...different, there was still a sense of familiarity within it.

"This belongs to...Jin Itadori!! Tch! Dammit!"

Raising her hand for Hakari to stop fighting, Uraume continued, "Wait, you can sense that, right? We have company."

Hakari had already sensed the energy approaching them. To him, it felt like Yuta's, but still, it was different. It was...darker, more sinister.

In moments, the one the energy belonged to appeared in between both of them, his arms crossed with his long hair blowing in the wind.

Uraume's face twisted in annoyance as she slowly raised her eyes to meet his, frosty mist erupting across her body. She was ready to fight at any moment.

"Kenjaku, Jin Itadori really beat you and took control of your body eh...I still can't believe it even though it's still right in front of my face."

Hakari rubbed his chin as he looked Kenjaku up and down, his eyes squinting as he said, "So this is infamous Jin Itadori huh? I'm curious...why do you feel so similar to Okkotsu? Furthermore...why do you have his katana?"

Kenjaku glanced at both of them as he clasped his hands together, black portals appeared all around him.

"You know the answer to those questions. It's exactly what you think. Dont worry. You'll join us in a few minutes."

Join us? Before Hakari had time to even deliberate on what Kenjaku meant, several cursed spirits emerged from portals behind the man.

WHOOSH!

Uraume immediately pressed her hand on the ground, sending out a massive wave of ice that froze Kenjaku and his cursed spirits instantly.

"Is that all you can-"

BOOM!

Before she could even finish her sentence, Kenjaku broke out of the ice with Rika at his back. Katana in hand, Kenjaku rushed at Uraume while Rika engaged Hakari, shock running through his eyes when he saw the cursed spirit.

'Okkotsu! You really did die! Dammit! Our plans are all going up in smoke!'

Uraume, now forced into close combat with Kenjaku, could only manage to barely dodge his slashes. She could tell that if this situation kept up, she would be dead in no time.

"Tch!"

Catching the katana between her palms, Uraume froze the blade and quickly twisted her hands to the side in hopes of breaking it.

But...

"Not fast enough."

Kenjaku had followed the twisting movements of her hands with the hilt of the weapon, nullifying her martial technique the moment it was executed. In the same motion, he activated Domain Amplification, nullfying her cursed technique, freeing the blade from its icy prison.

"This is the end."

Uraume let the blade go and prepared to block whatever attack Kenjaku was going to throw at her, but nothing could have prepared for the level of absolute speed that Kenjaku moved at.

BOOM!

Breaking the sound barrier the moment the blade started moving, Kenjaku bisected Uraume's body in two from the waist before the girl could even react, seemingly killing her in one blow.

But he knew better. Any top level sorcerer could heal from such an injury.

While the top half of her body was mid-air, falling to the ground, he swung his blade once again, decapitating her in a single move.

"With your death, my revenge is complete."

Whipping the blood off of his blade, Kenjaku cracked his neck and kneeled down, laying his hand upon Uraume's body.

"Now, your soul is mine."

A purple orb covered in her cursed energy flowed out of her body into Kenjaku's as the man closed his eyes, a small smile appearing on his face.

"I see. So that's how your cursed technique worked. Maybe I might use it later...or not. Actually..."

Looking over at Rika battering Hakari with blows, Kenjaku called her back to him, directing her attention to something else.

"Rika, consume that body. I'll finish off the battle while you do."

Kenjaku slowly walked towards Hakari, sheathing his blade and laying it to the side as he did so.

"It's my turn eh? Come on then! Let's gamble our lives in this battle! I'm feeling lucky! Domain Expansion: Idle Death Gamble!"

WHOOSH!

A pachinko-themed domain encapsulated both Kenjaku and Hakari, Kenjaku raising an eyebrow at this move.

Due to the information he got from Uraume's and Yuta's memories, he knew that Hakari's domain didn't have a offensive sure hit technique.

In fact, Kenjaku understood exactly what it did and he was curious about how much damage Hakari could take. Where would his limits end?

In moments, as a certain song played in the background, Hakari suddenly let out a primal shout, saying, "JACKPOT!!"

A limitless amount of cursed energy surged forth from Hakari's body, causing him to break out into a state of euphoric dance.

"Oh baby!! Let's fight!!"

The two of them clashed fists vehemently within the domain, Kenjaku smiling in glee as he battled with the insane sorcerer.

These type of battles were his favorite, ones where he could violently trade fists with an opponent that couldn't be taken down by regular means.

Sure, he could use his blade, but that wasn't fun. This was a much more enjoyable experience.

The two of them traded blows for several minutes, their advanced RCT healing them from any critical blows they might receive.

'His punches are heavy. Too heavy. His cursed energy output is at a level that I thought impossible to reach! Okkotsu...I can see why you lost.'

Even though Hakari had limitless cursed energy for a limited time, his cursed energy output didn't follow the same route. Kenjaku though, felt as if his output was increasing with every moment.

Hakari healed the damage he received from Kenjaku, but the overwheming pain still lingered. Subconsciously, he was starting to dodge more of Kenjaku's attacks instead of tanking them.

'He's not just a brute either. His martial arts show a level of experience that only maybe Gojo could match. The fact that I'm surviving this long means...he's not trying to kill me.'

Blocking all of Hakari's attacks, Kenjaku redirected his power back at him and combined with his own knife hand strike, impaling Hakari through the stomach with his entire arm.

"Geurghh!!"

A stream of blood shot out of Hakari's mouth...but he didn't stop moving.

"Geurgh! I got you right where I want you!"

Raising his fists, Hakari started pummeling Kenjaku's exposed face with an incredible amount of blows. Even though he was still impaled, his 'unkillable mode' provided him with an absurd amount of vitality.

Unbeknownst to him though, Kenjaku was blocking every punch with his other palm with ease.

The results were starting to become clear.

"This fight is over."

With a vicious twist of his arm, Kenjaku spun around with blinding speed, bisecting Hakari in one motion.

As Hakari's body parts fell to the ground, Kenjaku whipped the blood off of his arm, cracking his neck right after.

'It's just battle after battle...soon enough this will all be over and then I'll just start again in another world...sigh.'

Seeing Hakari's body piecing itself back together, a small smile appeared across his face.

This sorcerer was indeed impressive.

"Kinji Hakari eh?...Count your lucky stars. If you had something I wanted, the results of this fight would have been far different. So cherish this chance that I gave you. If you face me in battle again, I will finish you."

Kenjaku knew that Hakari heard him, he was just too injured to talk right now. Even his otherwordly RCT wasn't enough to quickly heal such an injury. He would need quite a bit of time.

Pulling Rika back into a portal after she finished devouring Uraume, Kenjaku turned his attention to the main course.

The whole reason he was still in this world.

Ryomen Sukuna.
