A large stream of flesh shot out of Kenjaku's hands and quickly covered the girl, consuming her within moments.
She had tried to activate her cursed technique, but since the Prison realm already had a hold on her, any access to cursed energy was lost. It became a futile effort.
Now that Maki and the Angel had been dealt with, only a few real opponents remained.
Yuta Okkotsu.
Yuji Itadori.
Hiromi Higuruma.
Fumihiko Takaba.
Kinji Hakari.
Choso.
And last but not least, the one and only Uraume.
Sukuna did not count amongst the rabble. For Kenjaku, he was the main course.
At this moment, the man stood atop the hill of rubble the angel was on and looked around the battlefield, eyeing his next targets.
'That Angel's technique...it greatly weakened me. In fact, just that bit of exposure to it burned out all of my cursed techniques...except Kenjaku's body hopping technique and cursed spirit manipulation. Sigh...even my original technique was burned away.'
Kenjaku knew he was at a disadvantage at this moment. Since all he had were techniques he had never used before in general, he had to rely on the knowledge he had on them from the original Kenjaku, and in turn, Geto.
Even so, becoming proficient enough at the technique in time to battle the King Of Curses was another challenge in and of itself.
"But...it's a welcome one."
Making an odd hand sign, several black portals opened around the man, causing cursed spirits of various grades to come through.
His eyes were set on one man...Yuta Okkotsu.
Taking the so called 'Queen Of Curses', Rika, from him would bolster his arsenal greatly.
"The main advantage of CSM is the endless variety of techniques and spirits at my disposal. So Rika would be the perfect addition. Heh...Geto, I'm sure you can see this since you are now a part of me. It's like we've come full circle..."
Causing the cursed spirits to rush at Yuta in an effort to distract him, Kenjaku quickly engaged the sorcerer with incredible speed, surprising him greatly.
"...but this time, we won't lose."
Yuta blocked the assault from one of the cursed spirits with his sword as Rika appeared behind him to ward off the rest.
"There she is...the beautiful specimen."
Laying his Six Eyes upon Rika, Kenjaku could see exactly how it was connected to Yuta. How it stored techniques for him and was the main aspect behind his copy ability.
It's seemingly endless cursed energy.
She was perfect.
Summoning a grotesque grade 2 cursed spirit that could copy his appearance perfectly, Kenjaku bolstered it with his cursed energy, pushing it's physical ability to special grade level immediately.
The two engaged Yuta and Rika together with the rest of the cursed spirits, quickly overwhelming them.
"Yuta! Tch! Takaba, take his spot!! Me,Yuji and Choso can't hold off Sukuna by ourselves!!"
Higuruma desperately shouted this as he blocked attacks from the King Of Curses himself. One could see that he was at his wits end in this battle.
Yuta, with his extraordinary combat ability, managed to make enough space between him and the cursed spirits to launch an attack that he was sure would wipe out most of his opposition.
BOOM!
With a swing of his katana imbued with positive cursed energy, Yuta eviscerated most of the cursed spirits that swarmed him.
Through the smoke and debris, 'Kenjaku' jumped in unharmed, forcing Yuta into close combat immediately.
Rika jumped in to help her sorcerer, further bolstering their combat abilities by a large margin.
The two were in perfect sync as they battled Kenjaku, overwhelming the man with their insane prowess.
Breaking his guard, Yuta cut off the man's legs and decapitated him in one swift motion, seemingly killing Kenjaku in that moment.
But, he had no idea what he was in store for.
Kenjaku's body suddenly turned into black goo, resembling the same goo that was present at the birth of a cursed spirit.
The goo covered Yuta's body as Rika tried to separate them, only to find themselves seemingly falling into a massive hole in the ground.
Yuta, while covering his body in positive energy to repel the cursed spirit, scrambled onto Rika's back by propelling himself with Sky Manipulation.
WHOOSH!!
Immediately after, a giant worm like cursed spirit consumed them both, causing Yuta to slash unceasingly at the spirit with his positive energy imbued katana.
But the moment his blade was about to touch it, the spirit suddenly burst into black goo, displacing his footing, causing his attack to fail.
Rika caught him, but this time the goo overtook her body, dragging it away as it fought fiercely to escape. Yuta, seeing this, tried to follow, but...
"KEURGHH!!"
The real Kenjaku had quietly emerged out of the black goo behind Yuta, impaling him through the chest with his arm.
"You were a magnificent fighter, Yuta. No wonder both Geto and Gojo had a high opinion of you. But...you were a millenia too early compared to me."
Ripping his hand out of his chest, Kenjaku struck him with multiple punches and kicked him away within the black goo. The goo then turned back into the giant worm like cursed spirit and devoured the sorcerer whole as it went into a black portal.
'It's as I thought. I could turn cursed spirits back into their pure forms to avoid losing them and to capture enemies, but they lose attack power in the process. What an interesting concept.'
Suddenly, a small portal opened up above Kenjaku's palms, causing a small ring, a katana and a sheathe to fall out of it. This was the ring that connected Rika to Yuta and the katana that Yuta used. His personal cursed tool.
Seeing that Rika was now just a rogue Shikigami that was on it's way to attack him with its full might, Kenjaku smiled. It was time to welcome her to the family. Not this shell of a Shikigami, the true Rika. The other part of her that was resting peacefully in the afterlife.
Only when the two were one, did Rika become the 'Queen Of Curses.'
"All I needed was a connection."
Easily dodging it's random, rapid attacks, Kenjaku extended his hand towards Rika, absorbing the spirit into a small ball, capturing it with ease.
Ignoring the disgusting taste as he swallowed the ball, Kenjaku summoned Rika behind him moments later, the spirit now becoming completely subservient to him.
But, the process wasn't done yet.
Grasping the ring in one hand and laying his hand on Rika with the other, he closed his eyes and reached deep within the spirit, quickly finding it's connection to the original Rika's resting spirit.
Just like he had snatched Geto's and the other sorcerers souls that the originak Kenjaku had taken over out of the afterlife, Kenjaku followed that connection and did the same once again, ripping Rika out of her peaceful rest.
When it came to matters of manipulating the soul, Kenjaku was an absolute master. Not even death could hide souls from him. Of course, Yuta's soul was also being held on to by the cursed spirit that devoured him.
The moment the two rejoined each other, Kenjaku rekindled the twisted love in her heart and pointed that obsession towards himself instead, essentially becoming 'Yuta' in Rika's mind.
BOOM!
A pillar of boundless cursed energy rose into the sky as Rika got larger and more robust, her single eye flowing with blood as this occurred.
It seemed as if she was crying blood, but Kenjaku cared not about that. He had already achieved his goal.
Now, as he picked up Yuta's katana from the ground, he looked for another target, not one that would bolster his power, just rabble that needed to be eliminated.
And he had just the two lucky bastards in mind...Kinji Hakari and Uraume, the last of the trio that wronged him.
It was time to repay that debt.
