The orange sun has settled west along with it's orange horizon, while the pale moon slowly rouse up from the east.
Workers, adventurers, and different kinds of people in the village are either coming back to their houses for their family or going to taverns to satisfy themselves.
The cacophony of people outside talking and walking combined with the loud and noisy tavern downstairs is what made Xian woke up from her slumber.
She yawned as she sat up, her eyes has small tears from sleeping with a mark of saliva on her mouth.
'Noisy bastards... Well, downstairs is a tavern afterall.' She said in her mind before looking outside, she saw the darkness of the night that gives calming vibes, she also those magnificent stars that was high above the night sky.
She stood up after a while and gave a glance at her bracelet that was silver in color with blue gem embedded in it. She was ready to examine the bracelet but she canceled it because of growl in her stomach.
'I will eat first... Mother said to keep my stomach full all the time after all.' With that, Xian opened the door and went at the edge of the hallway where there's a room for washing.
Xian entered the washroom and inside was several mirror and infront of it were small tubs of water that was similar to a fountain.
She then washed her face there and after a while, she came back to her room to dry her face. After getting a small towel from the table where the tavern freely include in their rent and after drying her wet face is when Xian finnaly walked downstairs.
Amidst the cacophony of the tavern that Xian can easily heard clearly even at the distance, there was someone she focused listening to while slowly walking in the hallway just before the stairs.
"What? A beautiful girl rented a room here?" Said by a handsome man in his 20s, he wore a clad of silver armor and has an athletic body that stood almost two meter tall, with blonde hair and paired with handsomeness, he gave a charismatic vibe.
"That little miss is really scary! You've been warn Brack!" Said by the bartender in the counter while shaking a drink.
Xian, by now was already downstairs, she glared at the bartender and asked. "What little miss, again?"
Upon hearing this, the bartender flinched and trembled as he low his head and slowly step aside to the edge of the counter and serving a couple of costumer.
The handsome man named Brack also heard it, he turned around to see a walking girl around 1.5 meter tall towards him.
"My name's Brack," He introduced before asking with a slight bow. "May I know who are this beautiful flower?"
"You can call 'IDGAF'." Xian answered while walking towards him.
The latter, on the other hand was confused and questioned. "Idgaf?"
Xian stopped just before Brack and smirk, she answered with a mocking tone. "Short for I Don't Give A F*ck."
Then, she walked past him. The people of the tavern looked at the embarrassed handsome Brack before laughing hard.
"Sh*t that hurts like a hell!"
"Deserves you better!"
"That's what we call mocking!"
Amidst the laughs, Brack turned around to Xian who was about to sit beside the counter, he grabbed Xian's shoulder with right hand.
"You b*tch!" He said but the next thing he saw was people standing and sitting upsidedown.
He flew in the air and crashed at the corner ground with head first. Xian glared at the at Brack and intimidately said. "Don't touch me, you maggot."
Brack on the other hand was quick to react, he stood up immediately glaring at Xian with anger, his hands slowly formed an orb of orange flame that was ready to lunch at his target.
Xian didn't even flinched from those orange orb of flame, instead, she posted a stance that was ready to fight in fist since she forgot to bring her sword.
"Stop Motherf*ckers!" Shouted by a woman at the entrance of the tavern, she wore a normal brown t-shirt and black skirt that reaches her knees, her hair was cutted into a pixie cut that was colored in dark brown.
"Wreak a havoc here and I'll call the knights for the two of you!" She shouted again now walking towards the two.
Upon seing this, brack dismissed his orb of flames in his hand and angrily walked away at the entrance before leaving.
Xian on the other hand, patted her shoulder where Brack touches before sitting besides the counter. By now, the people of the tavern continued to produce a cacophony of sounds like they were used to this kind of scene.
"And you lady, you're new here, you should abide by the rules." The woman informed.
"I'll remember that." Xian answered, she was about to order for a bunch of food when the woman earlier came to the counter and scolded the bartender.
"You should learn how to stop any fights while im gone!" The woman shouted at him before turning her head towards Xian.
"Ahem, this always happen, anyways, what's your order little miss?" The woman asked, by now, Xian was about to forget the attitude of this woman earlier who turned out to be a boss here but after calling to be a 'little miss' again, she frowned.
"Stop calling me that, old hag." Xian glared at this woman. The latter flinched but quickly changed to her normal posture again.
She cleared her throat and asked. "You're quite good at provoking, how old are you, miss?"
"15 this year, perhaps you're already 40." Xian answered.
The woman twitched her brows after being provoked again and questioned with confusion. "F*ck? 15? Where did you learn those words?"
'If I told you it was from those books that those wandering merchant sell that I learned this techniques, will you believe me?' Xian said in her mind before answering. "From people that appeared here and there."
"Anyways, how much for a dinner?" Xian asked and changing the topic.
The woman was quick to notice that this girl infront of her didn't want to talk to those topics anymore, so she answered. "10 copper, a plate and beverage."
"Good, give me five servings." Xian simply ordered.
The boss tilted her head from confusion and asked. "Did I hear right? You want five servings?"
"Yes, a total of two silver right?" Xian simply answered as she put down a pair of silver coin.
"Y-yeah... Five serving of dinner coming right up." With that, the boss left and entered the kitchen.
'Being a transendance is a blessing and a curse, it gives you power but it will also gives you hunger." Xian complained in her mind before sighing.
After a while, the boss left the kitchen and went to the counter with plates in her hand, she placed it before Xian before entering the kitchen again to brought back another plates.
"Ask the bartender for any beverage, and enjoy your meal." With that, the boss left the counter and sat besides Xian before slumping her head to the counter there.
Upon seing food infront of her, Xian swallowed a mouthful of saliva as she drooled over the food. Not wasting any more time, she ate the food slowly.
"You're a transendance?" The boss asked while looking at the gluttonous girl.
"How did you know?" Xian answered before continuing to eat.
"I also serve someone with that appetite and he was also a transendance." The boss answered.
By now, Xian was already finished and after a mouthful drink of an orange juice, she patted her abdomen.
'That is what we call dinner... Sigh, I miss mother.' Xian said in her mind before turning her head towards the boss.
"Who's this transendance you talking about?" She asked.
"Oh, it was a random adventurer that came here at the past, I don't know his name though." The boss answered. Then she introduced herself. "My name is Lyza, I just want to introduce myself, you don't have to bother introducing yourself."
"Hm, good." Xian stood up from being sat and complimented Lyza. "The food is great, thanks for the dinner."
With that, she walked past Lyza and went upstairs. But she went to the washroom first before going to her room.
After washing herself, she went to her room and dried her face before sitting at the soft bed. The window was closed before she left and it was still closed.
'Better close it.' Xian turned her look towards the bracelet in her left wrist. 'Now you're next to be examined.'
'Probably, you're a cursed artifact since you came from my mother's death. But I don't know yet what's your effects so let's find out shall we?' By that, Xian caresses her silver bracelet to know anything more about it's appearance.
What Xian mean about cursed artifacts is that those so called artifacts are magical Items that can be alive or unalive items. Cursed artifacts are different from normal artifacts. It have negative side effects that can be either cause scrath or worse, death.
It was formed from negative energy of surroundings and merging with another artifact or items with magic properties.
Artifacts or normal artifacts on the other hand were the so called artificial magical items, sometimes, the artifacts didn't contains negative effects and even it have, it will be only a small negative effects since making such artifacts need to be cautious and danger free, and it was made from trial and errors to refine it thoroughly.
'Hm, how can I activate this?' Xian thought then she remembered another memories that she have, it was the teachings of her Auntie Rei.
'There are two common ways, hm, the first one is focusing mana on it and the second is activating with a chant.' With that, Xian first tried the second way, wary that activating such thing with mana might affect her control to magic.
'First, let's select different words that corresponds to the bracelet and it's origins.' Xian ordered her mind then begun mind storming, different words came to her head and after that, she tried them one by one.
Such words that she thought didn't work but she knew that those words were likely not to work so she didn't give up.
"Mother!" She shouted, but nothing happened.
'Man, that's one of my best call.' She said in her mind.
'Hm, demon doesn't work either, blood doesn't work either.' Then chanted finnaly. "Revenge!"
But that doesn't work either.
'My head hurts from this, well it actually doesn't... Hm... What is it.' Xian begun to mind storm again.
'The tragedy happened in the forest but I tried it also... House... Home!' With that being said in her mind, Xian finnaly thought of something that might work.
She exhaled her breath and inhaled it, then after a series of breath, she finnaly said:
"Home!"
After chanting that, Xian expected that her bracelet will change and activate so she glanced at her silver bracelet but what she didn't expect was the sudden ravings from her mind.
"DEMON! BLOOD! DEMON! BLOOD!"
Xian tried her best not to scream as she held her head in pain. She closed her eyes as she rolled to the bed in from so much pain.
But after a while, the ravings subdued and upon opening her eyes, Xian didn't saw the dark room she was in, but what she saw is more different.
Then, she felt nostalgia.
