After Rose left the Ucranus mansion.
"Lady Jupiter," Batch called sounding frightened, Jupiter looked irritated as she bit her nail furiously.
"That stupid Percando bitch," Jupiter shouted throwing a cup off the table. "How dare she talk to me like that? Me? I'm Jupiter, I get what I want. How dare she reject me?" Jupiter shouted, making Batch to flinch. "Are you going to insult me as well?" she asked, and Batch shook her head vigorously.
"N… no," she stuttered.
"Good," Jupiter said with a smirk. "Firstly, Batch, do not ever try to insult me because then I'll be angry. And don't even assume that you can disobey me because I tend to do things I shouldn't when I'm disobeyed," Jupiter said, smiling.
"Okay," Batch said shrinking into her seat.
"But we are friends, so I'm sure you won't do anything I won't like, right?" Jupiter asked.
"Y… yes."
"What do you think we should do next? Should we let Rose walk free for insulting us?" she asked but didn't wait for Batch's response, she just continued talking. "How about we get rid of those Percando sisters, they are just in our way anyway," she said.
"I'm in on anything you want," Batch said quietly. Jupiter stood up and walked to Batch grabbing her face between her sharp fingers, she held tight enough for to make a small cut, Jupiter smirked in satisfaction and let go walking to the door.
"I like loyal dogs, I mean people, so don't disappoint me, Batch," she said and walked out.
A maid walked to Jupiter and bowed her head very low, the maid was shaking in fear as she said,
"My lady, I… I… I have a letter… a letter arrived for you," she said, pushing the letter towards Jupiter slowly.
"Why are you stuttering?" Jupiter asked sucking her teeth in annoyance.
"I'm sorry," the maid said raising her head a little.
"How dare you raise your head?" she shouted, and the maid knelt and dropped her head on the floor, pleading. "And don't call me 'my lady' its 'Your Highness' now, and soon 'Your Majesty'," she said living in her own world. The maid looked up with a look of disbelief, but she nodded in response. Jupiter gave her a slap on her face and said, "Who gave you permission to raise your head?"
"I'm sorry, your highness," the maid said, dropping her head back on the floor. A smile of satisfaction crept up Jupiter's face as she snatched the letter from the maid, giving both of them a paper cut in the process.
"How dare you?" she shouted, and an old man with a round belly and incomplete mustache came out with a look of exhaustion.
"Jupiter, what's wrong?" he asked, drawing every syllable.
"This wretched slave injured me," she cried running to her father. He scanned her hand and turned to the maid, who was still on the floor.
"You must be punished for your crimes," he said signalling a guard to come. "Take her and fifty lashes," he ordered still drawing every syllable. The guard the maid but she didn't protest or beg she just complied, Jupiter didn't seem to like that because she added,
"Take a finger for the one she injured," but the maid didn't say a word.
"Jupiter, my princess, I am so sorry. What do I do to stop you from crying?" he asked, Jupiter smiled and said,
"After this ball, I want to throw a ball to celebrate my victory," she showed him the letter.
"That's easy," he said, cupping her face. "Consider it done."
"Thank you, dad," she giggled, hugging him.
…
Jupiter and Batch stood on a balcony while a ball was being held inside. Jupiter brought out a red liquid and gave it to batch.
"Here," she said as she handed it to a reluctant Batch. "Put it in one of the Percando sister's drink, you make a choice," she said.
"L… Lady Rose?" Batch asked.
"I'll personally prefer Lilyanne, but its your choice," she said smiling.
"W… Will this kill her?" Batch asked shaking.
"Do you want her dead?" Jupiter asked a grin growing on her lips.
"I don't know," Batch replied.
"It's actually enchanted with magic, it will do what you want. And what do we want? We just want them out of our way, not to actually kill them, that would be brutal," Jupiter said.
"O… okay," Batch said. Jupiter smiled and cupped Batch's face, saying,
"You are my precious friend and I trust you so don't mess up, okay?"
"Okay," Batch said and turned to leave.
"Don't worry I trust you, I know you won't mess up," Jupiter said from behind her, Batch nodded with a weak smile before going inside, she was so lost in thoughts and wasn't paying attention to her environment.
Batch stood by the corner watching people socialize with each other, her hands trembled as she watched Lilyanne collect a drink from a man she recognized as Sir Avery. They chatted away unaware of the predator eyeing them as she planned her move. Batch pushed against the wall and walked to Lilyanne.
"It's a pleasure meeting you here, Lady Lilyanne," Batch said smiling. Lilyanne turned and returned the smile.
"It sure is," Lilyanne said with a curtsy. "I must apologize for how my sister acted before," Lilyanne said and Batch's breath caught. "You were a host, it was rude of her to speak that way to you, I hope you aren't offended," she continued with an apologetic smile.
"Oh, it's nothing," Batch said, grabbing a drink from a passing waiter. "I didn't take offense from what she said, I was hoping we could make up if I see her here tonight," Batch said making Lilyanne's face to light up in excitement.
"Really?"
"Yes, it was just a childish fight I'm sure she thinks it's nothing," she said.
"I'm not so sure about that, I don't think my sister would be interested in listening to you even if you tried," Lilyanne said.
"Why?" Batch asked her hands shaking again.
"That's just how my sister is I guess, I'm not trying to discourage you, but I don't know if there's use wasting your time trying to reason with her," Lilyanne said. Batch just stared in amusement contemplating what her next course of action would be.
"Oh, Lady Batch, not much of a pleasure seeing you here," Rose said in a harsh tone calling the attention of the two ladies, Batch's throat went dry from Rose's presence alone.
