The wind spirit is coming here, Silver is connected to the wind spirit. I had a feeling, but I just purposely overlooked my suspicion, it would be best if I leave before she comes here, but I can't. When I confirmed my suspicion of her relationship with this family, I tried hard to not think about it, but it was pointless.
There was a time I overheard Silver talking to Millie about the wind spirit. She said that the wind spirit warned her to get away from me, and honestly, I'm not surprised. The fact that she hasn't busted in here already is what is surprising, I am trying to break the seal anyway. The only thing that irritated me is the fact that her sister said that I could be the cause for her illness, not that I'm rejecting it, it is partly true, but I just didn't like hearing it from her. Silver might not notice, but I see the way her sister sees her, and it irritates me. While I could leave to avoid conflict, I just couldn't, not yet at least.
Instead of leaving completely I decided to give her some space once in a while. Especially after seeing the look on her face when I had a nosebleed that night. How will she react when the painful part comes? I won't be the only one to feel pain, but I'm sure she'll overreact again. This is all Sylphiette's fault, I would have broken the seal a long time ago if she wasn't trying to be smart, now I have to be careful so that it won't affect Silver much. She's been sick for quite a while, but I can only watch because I can't do anything, or I don't want to.
She'd be going for another ball today which actually annoyed me, she has been going out a lot lately even though she's not feeling well.
"Poppy, this dress is pretty, right?" she asked, and I turned to look at it. It was pretty, and didn't look as heavy as all the dresses she usually wore.
"Yeah," I replied. I can barely use my telepathy these days, I can barely do anything anymore. Sometimes I'll be able to hear Silver's thoughts without trying, sometimes I move things or summon things accidentally or destroy things. It's a good thing Silver is too sick to notice that numerous things have gone missing in her room, and Millie doesn't seem to care, she just replaces all of them. It was becoming harder and harder, so I started sleeping all the time to ease the pain, and cause less damage.
"Millie made it," she said. Well, Millie must be really skilled, not that I'm surprised. The kid can do almost everything, it gets annoying.
"Okay," I replied still having a hard time.
"Whatever I'm off," she said, she must be angry that I didn't reply.
I slept throughout the night, which was unusual because I usually wake up once Silver comes back. I transformed and got some clothes to wear. I grew bigger because the seal weakened, but I'm still a kid.
It was late afternoon and Silver was not yet back, Millie walked in looking worried as tears threatened to flow out of her eyes. That's new. I scanned her expression when she looked at me, and it dawned on me.
"What happened to Silver?" I asked, worried.
"I don't know, no one knows what happened. The carriage she took was found, but everyone was dead and…" Millie paused and looked down. And what? "She is missing," she finished letting the tears win. As interesting as it was seeing Millie cry I didn't have an opportunity to hear her lament, I ran out of climbing the balcony as I forced my wings to come out and flew off. Nothing can happen to her or else what I was accused of will happen, and it'd be worse.
I flew towards a forest filled with monsters, it was close to the mountain we were at when we rode on that foolish dragon that tried intimidating Silver. Threatening it wasn't enough, I'll take care of it later, it should have stayed forgotten now that I've remembered it I have to do something.
I was flying at the fastest pace I could manage with my weak body, but everything became blurry, and I fell on the ground. I can't pass out now, I know she's close, I have to find her.
I opened my eyes and tried standing up, but my head ached, and I fell back down, my bones were knives piercing my skin. I coughed up blood as my claws came out and retracted, it was torturous. I was subconsciously forcing the seal to break, but I couldn't stop because it was too late, if this continues Silver will…
The pain stopped after long, torturous minutes. My senses were returning, and I could tell where she was clearly now, I was still feeling weak, but I ignored the lingering pain. I flew towards a mountain not too far from the cave but a good distance that no one will notice her, even if that mage were here he wouldn't notice her easily. I don't know why that made me happy.
I saw a few people around a chained Silver, one with a whip, the looks on their faces irritated me even more. They didn't notice my presence, those animals. I wanted to torture them as much as they did to her, but I killed them off out of anger.
I stood Silver up and scanned her, she was bleeding too much and needed immediate attention. I hugged her and took in her scent, I wasn't too late. It was not until I noticed the broken ring on the floor that I realized that I was back to my original size.
I teleported back to her room and dropped her on the bed. I touched her hair and took her hand, I called Millie using forced telepathy. I used the opportunity to use 'apport' to switch clothes, Millie ran in quickly and made her way to the bed without taking notice of me. She looked as if she had been crying, she's the only one in this house except the duchess that'd cry for Silver like that. Millie started cleaning the blood, then she healed Silver. I knew she was handy but right now, I owe her a lot, I can't do anything because of how weak I am, I really owe her.
