I opened my eyes slowly, although it was hard for me, I was still feeling exhausted, but there was no pain whatsoever. My last memory was white hair and blood which doesn't help at all, I was saved by someone, that much I was sure of.
I looked to my side instinctively to look at Poppy, maybe it was a dream. I was not met with a kid's face or a baby dragon, but with a man's face. There was no Poppy just a random hot guy with long white hair, really long white hair. I closed my eyes tightly and opened it again to confirm whether I was hallucinating or not, I wasn't.
I screamed and jumped out of the bed when I realized that it was reality. Did I die and go to another world? Again? I took a handful of my hair and looked at it, still red haired. I walked to a mirror and looked at myself in the mirror, I was still Rose. The man was just looking at me throughout he didn't even try to explain. I was in my room, that part was sure of, but what a random hot guy was doing in my room was a big mystery. My room door swung open and some maids and knights ran in looking agitated.
"My lady, what happened?" Tanny asked. Is she asking me what happened? There is someone in my room, and they are acting like it's nothing, did I lose my memory?
"W… Who is that?" I asked, pointing the man. "Where is Poppy? Where is my Poppy?" I asked tears threatening to come out. Did he… did something happen to Poppy? Are they selling me off to this really hot guy? The man chuckled, but I ignored him.
"What do you mean?" she asked looking at me like I was spilling nonsense.
"Don't worry, my lady is just overreacting, everyone you can go," Millie said walking inside. Everyone sighed and walked out, so did Millie.
"Millie," I called, but she waved me off closing the door. Am I in an alternate universe? "W… Who are you?" I asked, but he just smiled a relaxed on the bed. Oh my, he's hotter when he smiles. Snap out of it, Rose, this is no time to drool over a handsome guy.
"Shouldn't you start with 'thank you'?" he asked, and I sidestepped to the door.
"For what?" I asked and he scoffed.
"For saving your life?" he said.
"Oh, you are the one who saved my life, thank you very much," I said. "But that doesn't give you the right to sleep on my bed, that could lead to a scandal," I scolded and he started laughing. Music to my ears. Snap out of it, bitch. His laughter grew louder, and I got a feeling he could hear my thoughts, except… Eh, no way!
"But I sleep here all the time," he said. No way!
"What are you saying?" I asked, hoping to the unseen that it isn't what I think.
"I'm saying that I sleep here all the time," he repeated.
"Wait, what?" I exclaimed looking at my hand. The ring was gone, it was gone and there was a man with silver eyes and white hair in front of me, and a foul mouth to put a cherry on top. "P… Poppy?" I asked.
"Finally noticed, you dumb human," he spat. This annoying brat! Well, I guess he's not a brat anymore.
"Hold on, why was everyone okay with you being older?" I asked feeling overwhelmed.
"That's because they are seeing a tiny dragon," he said. "Only Millie can see the real me," he explained.
"I see," I said, sidestepping to the other side of the bed keeping his gaze. "So you're Poppy?" I asked and he nodded. "And you are big and in front of me," I said feeling dizzy. "There's no way you're Poppy," I said more to myself than to him.
"Your choice," he said, relaxing and closing his eyes.
"Can you go back to your original form?" I pleaded.
"This is my original form," he informed me.
"Just… become a tiny dragon or something," I said pleadingly. He sat up and looked at me saying,
"Silver, I have been in that form for centuries, now I can finally live in my true form, you want me to go back to that form, why?" he asked. I don't think I like when this Poppy call me "Silver". This will be a hard life.
I grabbed a book and sat as far away as possible on a chair at the far end of the room. Millie, the betrayal, walked in with a tray, then she scanned the two of us and shook her head.
"My lady, you should something you've been out for three days, and I'm sure your kidnappers didn't give you anything to eat," she said, and I could feel the blood drain from my face. I have not eaten anything for four days, how am I still alive?
"Millie, I have not eaten for four days?" I asked and Poppy chuckled.
"Isn't it supposed to be 'I was out for three days'? How is that what you got?" he asked with an amused look. I can't get used to that face, not now not ever. Millie dropped the tray on the bed and looked at me.
"Why are sitting there?" she asked, and I stood up, stalking towards her.
"I needed better lighting," I lied sitting at the edge of the bed.
"At least make it believable," Millie said, turning to leave.
"Are you leaving?" I asked but just walked out ignoring my question.
"Silver…" I definitely don't like it when he says my name like that, and red faced my face gets. "Will you feed me like you used to?" he asked with a mischievous smile. When? Who? Where? Why?
Can this dragon just give me a break for one second? I'm too overwhelmed for this. I only did that when we went out, so why is he bringing it up as a hot guy?
