I can't believe I wanted to feel depressed by reading some books, forgetting that I'm abnormal for not being depressed already. I was just a regular college student that played piano for a living, had the worst possible date then I read this book, and slipped and died. I woke up as this miserable person in a world that is still new to me. I am sure I'm already dead in my world, and I didn't even think of people that I left behind. Mom, Ray, Ronnie, everyone. How are they feeling? Who saw my body first? Am I really never going back? Am I really stuck? As Rose of all people. Why do I have to be Rose? I feel so depressed.
I am a hated villainess, just an extra. Even Jupiter wasn't hated this much, it's annoying. I cry for a long time that I didn't realize it when I slept.
I opened my eyes weakly as I felt someone carrying me. Piggyback! I miss that too, it feels so nice. I opened my eyes once my back hit the bed, I looked around rubbing my eyes.
"Go back to sleep," I heard a soft voice, I opened my eyes fully to see who it was. My eyes widened as I saw the blonde hair in front of me. Raphael was lingering over me with a blank expression.
"Ra…," I tried to talk, but my throat was soared. He turned and walked to the door, only glancing back when I said, "Thank you," barely. He nodded and walked out. I lied down there, staring at the ceiling.
I closed my eyes and let the tears roll down, it's confirmed I am so stupid. I want to go back home, I don't like this place at all. Apart from my plan to escape and avoid dying again, nothing have been going my way, I would rather not be Rose anymore. I've been here for almost a month and have been trying to get fat, but regardless of what I eat nothing shows that I consume that much fat. My mother is so sick that it hurts me too, my father doesn't really care, he's not important. My sister… Whatever! My brother fears me, and my only friend is my maid which doesn't actually count because she's being paid to keep me company. I have no friends, I'm sad and lonely.
I let the thoughts flood my mind, I let the tears flow, and the worst part is that it didn't help at all.
…
I opened my eyes as a groan escaped my lips because of the eye piercing sun ray
"Oh my—," I said, sitting up, irritated. Everything was blurry, so I rubbed my eyes a little then looked back at the intruder. "Millie, why?" I asked, feeling the betrayal.
"It's already noon, my lady, I let you sleep since you were missing yesterday. I assumed you were exhausted after getting lost," she explained.
"I didn't get lost, I just didn't want to come back. It's not my first time anyway," I said quietly.
"You may do it frequently in the Percando's territory, but this place is different," she scolded. I tried standing up, but my whole body ached that I fell back. Millie stared at me intently, then she asked,
"Were you crying?"
"Me? No, no, I wasn't," I lied.
"It's fine, you can talk to me," she said, sitting beside me.
"It's nothing," I said, forcing a smile.
After freshening up, I got dressed and Millie covered the bags under my eyes with makeup, then I ate.
"Where is Raphael?" I asked Millie as she was walking out.
"I believe he's in the garden having brunch with Lady Lilyanne," she replied, and I nodded. She turned to leave but stopped when I asked,
"Millie, why didn't you bring my sweets yesterday?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, the head maid caught me," she said and that was explanation enough. In case if you're wondering, the head maid is Lady Nort, the queen of errands.
I walked out of my room and made my way to the garden. I wore a yellow dress with yellow gloves and a yellow ribbon holding my bun, I looked gorgeous even if I was still depressed. Even if I still felt depressed I decided to take the blame for what happened yesterday, as always. I got to my destination and saw Raphael and Lilyanne laughing, I felt the pain in my chest again, but I ignored it.
"Good afternoon, siblings," I said, but didn't smile. They both turned to look at me, and I curtsied. Lily scanned my expression for a while, but I gave her nothing, I have decided to put my walls higher than the Great Wall of China. I should just live my life as an obedient pawn.
"Good afternoon to you, sister," Raphael said. "Are you feeling better?" He asked looking concerned. I felt irritated just by looking at his concerned expression, he is just like his father–selfish–they'd sell me the moment they get a chance. That is how it should be and that is how it is.
"I am," I said with a fake smile. I sat with them as a maid poured tea for me. "I thought about what happened yesterday, I should apologize," I started but changed my mind, feeling my resolve wither away. They already made me the villain, why not continue?
"I am sorry if I irritated you," I said. "You wanted to spend time together? I'm cool… I mean, I'm fine with that," I continued. "As for what happened yesterday it won't repeat itself, Lady Lilyanne, Sir Raphael," I said standing up to courtesy. Lilyanne tsked and I turned to look at her. "What's on your mind, sister?" I asked raising my cup to take a sip. Bleh! Bitter. I dropped the cup quickly and looked at her with an expressionless gaze.
"Nothing," she sighed.
"No, speak your mind," I said with a smirk.
"You are acting worse than before," she stated.
"Really?"
"Yes, it's like you are pushing us away even more now," she finished. This protagonist really surprised me anytime she's intuitive like this.
"Sylph," Raphael warned.
"Oh that's true, that's what I'm doing. I will do what you ask of me, but don't expect more than that, don't get in my space again," I warned and grabbed two scones from the table. "Please inform me when you're ready," I said and took off scone in my mouth.
I spent the rest of the day in my room eating and reading books. By evening I was bored and tired of reading books, I just sat down staring into space thinking of what next to do. My eyes landed on the box mother gave me.
I stood up took the box and sat on my bed with cross-legged, I scanned it then opened it. I looked at the necklace, is this ruby? I had no idea, but I was sure it was pretty, if you look at it closely it had stuffs that sparkled inside, so did the earrings. Now that I think about it, I won't have a problem if my name was Ruby.
I took the ring and scanned it for a while then I wore it on my fourth finger, it was plain but had a charm to it. I raised my hand and stared at it, then I snickered, it was on my fourth finger. I sighed and looked at my hand again.
"Will you really grant me a wish?" I sighed and tried pulling it, but it was pointless. I tried again, but it didn't come off, thank goodness I took off the glove I'd have worn this ring for how long it took to take it off.
"Come out already," I said, irritated as I pulled it again.
"Okay," I heard a voice say. A blinding light shone from the ring that I blocked my eyes, then I heard,
"Hello there, you summoned me, what do you want?" Say what now?
