"What was that?" Adam asked and Cincinnati almost felt like the ground needed to swallow her.
She'd been perusing old media and came across the ancient media called anime. And she binged them when she was still back at home, her parents blissfully oblivious to her growing fascination. It was the best because she couldn't explain it without looking silly in the long run.
"Forget about that, what changed?" She turned the whole thing around, blushing profusely. She didn't want him to see though, so she turned around and busied herself with something else.
"Nothing," he replied, as still as stone. He didn't move a muscle because Esme was sound asleep. She didn't expect such thoughtfulness from him, but then she knew next to nothing about him.
