Adam had felt fear before. It was a strange thing, the kind of emotions fear could elicit in a human. He knew the right buttons to push.
"What did you do?" The one called David was almost in Adam's face, his body contorted in rage.
"Calm down, David. Access the situation." Bella was eyeing Adam, her petite form seated on a rock.
"Can't you see what he's saying? MY END?" David was fuming, but Adam didn't move. Bella didn't either.
"Do not make me repeat myself," Bella's voice changed, her irises going darker. Adam watched the show before him with mixed feelings.
"What did you do?" Cincinnati moved closer to him, obviously confused. But Adam wasn't in the mood to share.
"I'll tell you later. For now, focus on getting that temper tantrum under leash," Adam replied, gesturing at David. Cincinnati's eyes followed his line of sight and she covered her mouth to prevent laughter from escaping.
