Chapter 42 - Teemo's Creations

"You can start first, I know you don't fancy veggies," said the Felidae.

The Dragoon said nothing as she sat in front of the Loplin, who hadn't looked away from the list. Matt had a stressed look as he refused to look at Layla.

"I truly have no clue what I've done to you last night… All I could remember was that we were here and you're stroking my ears. And then a blank slate until I was on the floor with you angrily flying off."

"I didn't hurt you, right?" asked the Loplin as his ears drooped down.

Layla quietly munched on her food while she shook her head, remembering how dangerously close she was to a male for the first time in her life. And how much she wanted to fall into bliss with him at that point but remembered that she shouldn't.

"Good… At least you're not hurt… Otherwise, I might just kill a cat today," said Matt as he glared at the whistling cat.

"Hang on, Teemo, did you say you were developing an aphrodisiac? Which mission from the pile you've got on your desk requires that?!" exclaimed the Loplin as he found it suspicious that Teemo would be having such things.

The Felidae was finally done with cooking and took his place beside the rabbit.

"It's not from scratch, I'm actually trying to contain the aspects of this herb I've found on the mountainside. The village there had mixed it into their everyday food and well… Let's just say the whole town is now a very, hot and steamy place…"

"So your first thing was to create an aphrodisiac? Not very helpful…" asked Matt, disgusted.

"I am trying to contain the effects, treat the plant in a way that is actually safe for consumption. Unlike the way that village uses it because prolonged usage of that can be fatal."

"But it is very potent after ingestion, it even has amnesiac properties! It could work wonders against enemies. Maybe I could turn it into mist…" said Teemo as he brainstormed other ways.

"Don't say as if it's a good thing!"

"If you're planning to use it on female creatures, know that you can use it on Arakaali because she is immune to all attractions," noted Layla as she took some mushrooms.

"You're right… Anyways, how's the studying going for you, rabbit?" asked Teemo, pointing his knife at Matt.

"Stop pointing your knife at me and then I might be less pissed off at you…"

"Oh, c'mon! It was a little mistake…"

"No, I'm stressed at what you've given me and my back hurts after an angry Dragoon threw me onto the ground with everything she had."

"Grumpy boy today, huh? Well, I hope you're able to follow what's noted in there," said Teemo, finishing his food.

"We'll travel to the cave areas within the next town. They are the caves of Mordaho and they are filled to the brim with ores."

"With the bunny standing guard and tracking the best ones, we'll get the materials for your armor in no time," added the Felidae as the little Dragoon smiled.

"I am going to be drained after this scavenging time of yours…" complained Matt as he got up to get ready.

"Hold on! I've got a cool new coat for ya. My eyes are killing themselves every time I see that red cloak of yours…" said Teemo as he went towards a drawer.

"What? It's my favorite color…" pouted Matt as he took the coat off.

"A sight of sore eyes… Anyways, put this one on, it's going to be cold in the caves. And it also helps to store a bit more of your Elemental Energy so you're not with your agility and usage of your Magecraft," noted the Felidae as he tossed a bundle of cloth towards the Loplin.

The rabbit unraveled the bundle, revealing it to be a long, white coat with a brown inner lining. The chest area had a red sash while the lapel was adorned with small holes.

The Loplin put on the coat, instantly feeling the effects of it. Matt sighed as he twirled around with it, adjusting the flow of the long coat.

"You know I don't do well with coats, I look like a doctor!" protested Matt as he shook his head.

"I think you look handsome in that…" murmured the Dragoon as she tugged on Matt's coat.

The Loplin smiled as he placed a warm hand on the girl's head.

"Oh, you look just fine! Come on, let's get a move on before the villages see a Felidae, Poplin, and Dragoon hanging out with each other," instructed Teemo as he led the duo to another room.

"Aren't we heading out? Why are we switching rooms instead?" asked Layla, confused.
