"And they spoke of something called Conjuring Sigil, and they plan to activate it at a grand scale. According to the drunken man that tried to pull my hair, they were planning to go up against a fearsome foe that reeks of death itself."
"I had no clue what that is or what is a Conjuring Sigil but they might be connected with the death incidents. What are your takes on it?" questioned Layla, glancing at Teemo.
"A Conjuring Sigil is something like a summoning ritual but instead of grabbing ghosts of the past, they pull spirits from another Universe or realm."
"The Magecraft used to power these actions can't be done with a single Element and can only be performed with five or more Mages," explained Teemo, eyes unmoving from the map.
"A Conjuring Sigil isn't something the normal Mages would mess around so the group that visited your place must at least be part of the Royal Guard. Plus, you would need more than Elemental Energy to…"
The Loplin froze as his face went pale after he said those sentences.
"You're thinking the same thing… However, it's still a far-fetched assumption. What would be a safer bet?" asked the Felidae.
"I'd say that those deaths were because of an uprising of another creature as the marks are too concentrated to be of natural deaths…"
"How about fights? They could cause deaths that are packed together like this…" suggested the Loplin.
"If that was a possibility and your messenger gave you that information, then you can kick his soul out of his body for all I care because that has got nothing to do with what you're going after. It's a weekly occurrence for large-scale fights to the point we've gone numb."
"I never knew you could get violent."
"If they can't do their proper job, then they aren't worth their rice bowl. But yes, that's all I can tell you regarding this event. I do know that something is going on with Valokia's Royal Guard but I've been out of the loop for far too long for my details to be relevant."
Teemo shook his head as he rested a hand on the Dragoon's shoulder.
"Don't sweat it; my information may not be very accurate so we are both in the same sinking ship. And you've given us bait to bite on," said the Felidae, gently ruffling Layla's hair.
"What do you mean by that?" asked the confused Dragoon as straightened her hair.
"We now have slightly more information about information and that's enough for me to make assumptions to build on my next steps… Using your notes and our intel, we've got two ideas."
"The Royal Guards of each Kingdom are holding their own Conjuring Sigils and have summoned creatures, resulting in the deaths marked on this map."
"Another guess is that the 'fearsome foe that reeks of death itself' is going around killing people for fun or is being controlled to do so," asked Teemo, as he cleared up the area.
"For now, let's put a pin on that while we retire for the night. The Loplin might die from exhaustion if he doesn't get his sleep. Good night, both of you, and be here on the seventh Chime of the day," instructed the Felidae as he walked out of the kitchen.
Layla glanced at Matt, who was barely awake. The Dragoon giggled as she went over to poke his cheek.
"You don't do well with late nights, huh?" taunted Layla, gently stroking the Loplin's resting ears.
Matt was extremely tired so he allowed the girl to play with his hair and ears. She then stroked the ears in a very specific way and area, causing them to flutter and Matt to smile.
"Aww… I forgot that you are a bunny… So cute," murmured Layla as she pulled back her hands to cover her smiling mouth.
"Hmph… Don't forget that I am a combatant too," said the Loplin as he abruptly stood up.
Layla squealed and protested as Matt scooped up the girl and flung her on his shoulder. The rabbit didn't care about the poor girl's wiggling as he went towards the room.
As the pair approached the bed, Matt gently tossed the confused Dragoon onto the bed while pounced on, eliciting a little scream from the girl.
"Boo!" yelled the Loplin after jumping on the girl.
"Are you a ghost?!"
"Maybe..."
Matt was now on top of the giggling Dragoon, with his arms on each side of her head and legs positioned at each side of her waist. He then leaned forward to place his forehead onto hers, making the poor girl a blushing mess after calming down.
"What are you doing? Matt… I'm serious, what are you trying to do?" asked the girl as she wiggled around.
