"It's a currency used amongst Ancient Dragoons, thought to be valued at 100 Gold per shard. An Orb would be roughly 100k. These things can only be appraised by the Casters of each Kingdom," explained Layla, without missing a heartbeat, much to Matt's surprise.
"I give at least a Mythril Orb, polished, every fortnight. Sounds like a good deal?"
"Then I want a lifetime supply of food and drinks from you."
"That can be arranged. But you must be with me in my bed chambers."
"I want cookies."
"Can we not discuss this now and focus on what we have to do first? God, it's like rearing cats with both of you… So show us how you are going to translate Layla's Elemental Energy output into numbers," said Matt, not wanting to waste any more time.
"Impatience is a terrible thing to have, especially if the heart is as weak as yours. Anyways, let me summon up this bad boy," answered Teemo as he stabbed his sword into the dirt.
The area trembled as the Felidae closed his eyes and concentrated, pouring his Elemental Energy into the blade. It created a swarm of both black and red ribbons, dancing around the sword.
"Shadowed Moon!" called out Teemo as a large circular shield of black and red ribbons formed in front of the blade.
The shaking stopped as the cat stomped onto the ground, forcing a white orb to appear a few lengths away from the shield.
"Strike that orb as hard as you can with your most powerful Elemental attack. Loplin! Get behind me so you won't get obliterated," instructed Teemo as he continued to grip the sword.
"Don't need to tell me twice!" said Matt as he vanished from his spot and appeared behind the Felidae.
"I'll help you if needed but I highly doubt that she would break your Moon…" offered the Loplin.
"Stand by, I haven't done this for a Dragoon yet, let alone someone as fresh as her. The whole place might blow up, even with these Stones around."
"That's sooo reassuring…"
"Shut up, Warrior of Sass! I'm doing my best here to help you and the cutie! Layla! Do it now!" shouted Teemo, focusing on the shield.
The girl sucked in a breath and steadied herself as she pulled out her scythe and aimed it at the white orb. Pour everything she's got…
"This is the final step! Rejoice! Hold your weapons high, for the waves are as tall as the stars. The Salt Sea Kingdom will never fall for the King is here!" shouted Layla as she squeezed her eyes shut.
The area shook violently as the atmosphere started to feel strange. Peeking out from the giant shield, the two males witnessed a beautiful yet terrifying sight. Streams of bright blue and aquamarine Elemental Energy converged into Layla's scythe.
Teemo wanted to yell out to correct her that she should not be using her surroundings to unleash this attack but Matt stopped him.
"What are you doing?!" asked Teemo, angrily.
"Look carefully… She isn't absorbing the water from the area, she is calling back the stray Elemental Energy that leaked out from her!" yelled Matt as the winds started to pick up.
"The prayers of all sailors throughout time have been heard and answered. The storms will converge on my place as the King…"
"What the hell?! Since when did this Dragoon have the Skillset of the Brine King?!" yelled the Felidae as he realized he might not have a high enough defense to stop the blast.
"How should I know?!"
"Not only that, but this is the final stage of it! By the end of this, you might wanna find out if you truly want to team up with her…"
Layla slowly reopened her eyes and lifted her scythe, which felt incredibly heavy.
"She's not just any girl running a tavern… She's the daughter of…" murmured Teemo as he braced for impact.
"Pride And Glory of the Brine King!" shouted Layla as she leaped from her place to perform a downward slash at the white orb.
"The Aces of the Royal Guard!" yelled the two males as the next thing they saw was blue.
The emblem of the Brine King, a large circle of blue with an outline of a crab, appeared in front of the scythe as it summoned a huge torrent of blueish-gray water towards the white orb.
As the attack hit, the white orb tried its best to withstand the sheer power of one of the Ancient Kings. Teemo tried his very best to hold down the fort as the water started to gush towards them.
Matt cursed as he tried his best to share his Elemental Energy to help mitigate the waters but it wasn't any use as the shield started to crack.
