"First off, that incident was your fault because those flowers are part of their life cycle. Without them, the entire Kingdom will fall. Second, the Royal Guard here is trying to keep the Ankou under observation after he broke out."
"He managed to summon the Death Hound on us and we barely had a chance to catch it. I never expected the Royal Guard to pull off such a feat..."
"What do you mean by that? I thought the Ankou came out of its cage all by itself?"
"The Ankou isn't a natural creature that happened to be sleeping within the forests or oceans, he is an individual and has something called sanity and reason. We could strike a deal with this person but not with the dog unless you give it treats or something."
"So you're telling me we've got a dog loose as well?"
"That hound won't show up unless someone is going to die. And that thing isn't harmful. It's the fact that the Ankou has summoned something to anchor himself to this place. That makes it significantly harder to kill."
"If I recall correctly, he is something like a Grim Reaper, right? I heard the tales by them from the Ancient Humans that the Ankou collects souls?"
"It's from Breton's folklore, a being charged with collecting the souls of the dead and ferrying them into the afterlife before he is allowed to pass on. The issue is that he should not have needed to resurface. They've summoned him for a purpose, and I've no clue what it is."
"Because the Ankou doesn't like to be bossed around that makes him difficult to control and worst of all, he's got the mind and behavior of a trickster. A summoned being like him has the power of the Shadow Trio combined. Not to mention psychological effects..."
"Matt? Where are you?" asked the Dragoon as she neared the closed door.
"We'll stop here and continue after dinner, go to your girlfriend now," said Teemo, turning the Loplin around and opening the door to push him in.
"She's not my-"
Before Matt could finish, the Felidae slammed the door closed in his face while Layla looked very confused.
"Why do I even bother at this point..." grumbled Matt as he walked past the Dragoon to lie, face down on the pillow of the comfy bed.
"Bother about what?"
"About arguing with that damned cat."
"Hey, you brought us to him... Aren't you both friends?"
"I wish I could say that… But I could consider him an ally, not a friend. Anyways, how are you feeling? We haven't had a chance to speak alone with that cat around," asked Matt as he turned his face towards Layla.
"I'm still alive, aren't I? Though I do feel quite tired ever since the fight, I'm overall fine, just one small thing…"
The Dragoon then pounced onto the Loplin's abdomen, surprising the poor bunny as he experienced a sharp pain.
"What was that for?! And what are you… Doing…"
Matt slowed his speech down as the Dragoon crawled up against his upper half to tower over him. The Loplin started blushing and fidgeted, trying to shake off the girl but to no avail. She then leaned forward, forcing the rabbit's back to be stuck onto the bed.
"Teemo said that you are hiding something from me… Spit it out…" growled Layla as she gently stroked the rabbit's ears.
The Loplin mentally cursed a thousand words against Teemo as he felt his heart thumping rapidly in his chest. His tongue was tied and his mind a mess as he tried to figure out a convincing lie. Not to mention that the position he was in was way worse than when Layla pulled his tail.
"What does it matter to you? You know we've got things we can't say..." reasoned Matt as he wiggled uncomfortably underneath the strong Dragoon.
"Yes but if the things that you can't say is about hurting others, then I've got a bone to pick with you!" exclaimed Layla.
The Dragoon was skilled in making his situation worse as she used her thighs to secure Matt in place, squeezing his waist. His hands were still free so he tried to pry Layla away but she was quicker.
The girl instantly slammed her body down onto the bunny, forming an embrace between the two. Layla's head was beside Matt's cheek while her arms locked his hands in place at the sides.
"Why won't you tell me?" whispered Layla, in a sad and soft tone.
The Loplin sighed as he closed his eyes, trying to think if it was good to tell her the truth first before Teemo or someone else did. Matt then figured out it wasn't time yet as he turned his head and kissed the Dragoon on the cheek.
