"You've picked up some weird information… Only clothing makers or armor makers would know these things. But that's beside the point."
"I guess I could make her some gauntlets if we do defeat that spider first but I still need to gather the rest of the items to forge Layla's armor," explained Teemo as Layla took off the outfit.
"Your scales are quite pretty, cutie," murmured the Felidae as he watched the Dragoon changing.
Layla opened her mouth to scold the cat but bit her tongue when she realized something was not quite right. The rabbit's ears twitched as Layla paused in mid-movement.
"Are you okay, Layla?" asked Matt, resting a palm on her shoulder.
"Teemo… Where did you last fight the Mother of Webs?" quizzed Layla, without moving her eyes.
"In a cave, right smack on the border between us and the rabbits. Why?"
"Then I think we might be in for trouble… They weren't dormant… They were patient."
The sound of a pin dropping was similar to a bullet firing within that room as Layla made the connection.
"Why do you say so?"
"Because the Mother of Webs is waiting at the bottom of a lake within the Felidae area. More specifically, Aegis Lake."
"How did you know?" questioned Teemo, sounding skeptical.
"Aegis Lake is the only one noted to have hidden caverns and there are no natural lakes in the Campania Kingdom," explained Layla.
"And when she was in a trance, she did mention that the spider was going to wake up from the bottom of a water body. So, I guess what Layla is saying does check out."
"But how do we deal with this? Arakaali isn't exactly something that can be quelled…" reasoned Matt as he stood up.
"It is possible to defeat her without armor but I wouldn't recommend it... Besides, the area that she has taken refuge in is also heavily guarded with her underlings so I doubt we can solo it," reasoned the Felidae.
"Her armor is my priority. As such, I will be gathering the items needed first thing tomorrow, I should be done in a day. Cutie can stay in here while the bun boy can follow me. Now then, let's show the two of you your rooms."
"After two Chimes, you both can come back to the kitchen for dinner. Alright?" instructed Teemo, keeping the clothes on his shoulder and walking out.
The other two nodded as they followed the Felidae back to the hallway. Teemo opened the last door of the corridor, showing off a large room with a giant blue bed in the middle.
It looked like a palace bedroom, with a bathroom on the left side, two wardrobes and desks, and even a fireplace.
Layla ran into the room and straight to the burning fireplace, which had been active with Fire Crystals. The room was illuminated by white Crystals held in torches. If Layla's living place had a hue of warm colors, then this place had a cool color scheme.
After warming up to the fire, the Dragoon then jumped onto the bed, cuddling with the fluffy blanket. The Loplin sighed and smiled as he shook his head.
"Don't you think I should get an update from you first? You've yet to tell me what you've known about the situation," whispered Teemo, signaling to the Loplin that his work wasn't done yet.
Matt clicked his tongue as he glanced over at the girl who was busy rolling around the bed.
"Don't click your tongue at me, Assasin Rosenberg. Don't forget that she doesn't know the truth of why you'd show up at her doorstep and I do. The least you could do is give me the report that you owe me," spat Teemo, grabbing the bunny's collar.
The Loplin and Felidae glared at each other for a solid Tick before Matt pushed the bigger being away and adjusted his collar.
"So much for not blackmailing me..."
"Don't tempt me."
"Like what we've discussed, I told you about Tiamat and our plan to subdue her. The creatures are starting to wake and the situation in Valokia remains peaceful. However, there is a change of ruler in that kingdom," said Matt as he gently closed the door.
"I heard. A young kid is ruling the most powerful nation among the Six Kingdoms. He'd better gear up for war. Or be prepared to be overruled by someone stronger. How's your side?" asked Teemo.
"Our Royal Guard is asking Titania for help against Tiamat but I heard their princess refuses to work with us because of the Midsummer Dream incident. I didn't expect the Fairies to be so hostile towards us for picking some flowers…"
"The next step was to ask your Kingdom but apparently, your Royal Guard is busy."
