Frederick steps forward to have his brother embrace him. When a few seconds pass by and he still hasn't hugged him, Frederick opens his eyes. His eyes bore into Kevin's searching for what he's feeling within there golden depths. He expects to see happiness, maybe even anxiety but he sees something else entirely. He sees rage.
Kevin hesitates for a few seconds but the image of the king's corpse continues to flicker throughout his brain. He rushes forward faster than speed itself and slams his fist into Frederick's ribs. The impact shakes the universe surrounding them and sends Frederick into the atmosphere. His body shoots through a moon shattering it along the way as he steadies himself. Frederick stands atop the floating rubble and his eyes widen as another fist meets his throat. "Wait-" Kevin cuts off Frederick's plea with a kick to the gut sending him into the heat of a star.
Kevin appears in front of his brother his body pulsing yellow as he tries to slam his fist again into Frederick. However, a flicker of doubt races through him as he thinks of what possible damage he's done in his moment of anger. "Enough!" Frederick yells as he catches Kevin's fist and twists his arm with overwhelming strength. "Ah!" Kevin yells as he feels a new kind of pain. His perfect body experiencing harm for the first time as Frederick throws Kevin like a ragdoll back into Cathania's crust. The palace of the now dead king crumbles beneath the impact and Kevin tries to stand but he is immediately pushed back into the rubble with a bolt of energy. Frederick walks forward, his body unscathed as he yells in anger but Kevin doesn't hear his words.
The kinder god's eyes land onto the people crushed under the weight of the impact. "Its my fault." Kevin mutters and a stab into his chest forces his eyes to shoot back up to Frederick. "Your right! It is your fault!" His brother yells as his pincer-like arm pierces through Kevin's chest and lifts him up into the air presenting him to the surrounding people who are still forced into paralysis beneath Frederick's power. Gods do bleed.
"Listen to me brother! You see how easily they crumble beneath us?!" Frederick roars as his arm pierces through Kevin's chest and out the other side. "Look at how weak you are when you stoop down to the level of filth!" The mad god continues as he throws Kevin aside against the cold earth.
Kevin's gaze turns shaky as he stares up at his only brother. He feels more guilt now then rage as he peers at the corpses and hopeless gazes around him. The images haunt his mind and scream like raging beasts as blood seeps from his chest. "Why'd you make me do this? I wish I was here to guide you before you became.... This! You were born a god but you chose to be like one of these insects..." Frederick says his voice evoking more sadness but the anger still lingers as he stares down at Kevin's mangled body.
"Get up. You can be so much more than this." Frederick mutters as Kevin's gaze becomes more and more blurry. 'I've failed these people... I've failed this whole universe... I was supposed to change this world for better but I could do nothing to save it.' Kevin thinks to himself. "GET UP!" Frederick yells and Kevin feels his mind go numb again. In an instant, Kevin's tissue regrows and he shifts back to his feet. His mind lights ablaze again and he slams into Frederick like a comet. Frederick arms move up and he pushes back against him. "That's it! There it is! That's what we are! That's the power of a god!" He yells looking into Kevin's golden eyes as they burst with the glow of a thousand suns. "You are no god!" Kevin screams as he vanishes and he slams his foot into Frederick's throat.
"God's are perfect!" Kevin continues as he slams his fist down on his brother's skull and kicks him down into the earth. "A perfect being would not look down upon the world!" He yells as he continues to slam his fists down upon Frederick pushing him down further into the planet's crust as it shatters beneath the overwhelming force. "If you were perfect in every way you would show these people kindness not slaughter them!" Kevin screams as he slams his arm down again breaking Frederick's body. Kevin breathes heavily as he looks down at his sibling now beaten into a shell of his divine form. "L-Look around brother.. tell me what your kindness did." Frederick mutters shakily, his voice sounding like the cry of a dying animal due to his crushed neck but he still smiled all the same.
Kevin's eyes widen as he looks around at the scene around him. His burning gaze falters as he sees that the planet has crumbled beneath his rage. Rubble floats through space around him as he realizes he slammed into Cathania's core and broke the entire world. Golden tears fall down his green skin as he realized what he's done.
The divine wept as he saw his mistake upon creation.
