Helios's POV
I sat on my couch, staring blankly at the wall. It had been days since Rohan told me about Valerie's passing, and I still couldn't shake off the feeling of emptiness. I missed her, missed her smile, her laugh, her presence.
I felt a pang of sadness, thinking about how she was gone, taken from us too soon. I thought about our conversations, our laughter, our inside jokes. It all felt like a distant memory now.
I sighed, feeling down. I knew I had to move on, for Riele's sake, for Rohan's sake, but it was hard. Valerie was more than just a friend; she was a fellow wolf, a sister.
I stood up, deciding to take a walk outside. Maybe some fresh air would do me good. But as I walked, I couldn't shake off the feeling of loss. Valerie was gone, and nothing would ever be the same again.
As I was about to leave, Riele walked into the room, looking curious. "Dad, where are you going?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with interest.
