Feeling more full than he has ever been in his life, Loki went to the big market near the gates to the forest, prime place to attract visitors and adventurers. Getting ready to explore the outside and increase his strength is what he must do; to accomplish that, he needs better armor since his poor equipment right now can't hold up.
Loki opens his character panel:

It hasn't changed much, but he plans to change that really soon.
Loki begins checking how much money he has left over to see if he can acquire some Boots and Leggings. With the newly counted 685 gold from dinner, he made his way over to a stand with a nice setting. There were some common boots, however, they had much better stats and he wants to get boots first because better boots increase his agility passively too.
Loki looks at the first pair he wants
[Fair Boots]
Level: 2
Grade: Common
Defense: +1
Agility: +1
Price: 75 gold
Loki wants them, however he notices something. All of their armor is higher than his current level, meaning he can't even equip them, as the level is also the level requirement. Loki feels a small sadness, but he decides to buy them anyways as he will hit level 2 eventually.
Realizing his shortcoming, he decides to keep his gold on him for now and wait to see if he can get something better later. For now, let's return the to forge to make a new weapon!
Returning to the forge, Loki notices Ignatius inspecting his equipment and cleaning up a little, "Hey, Master, I'm back! Their Rice and Chicken at the Distinctly Lavish was so good."
"Good to hear boy! What's your plan now? Off to the forest already?" Questioned Ignatius.
"Not yet; I still need a weapon. All the weapons in town were too high leveled, I'm still only level 1...
I was hoping to make one" Loki said dejectedly.
"Hmm, well, I got something for you actually, here, take this" Ignatius said while tossing a sword at Loki.
"HEY, watch it, that could kill me" Loki yelled.
"Nah, don't be weak" Ignatius retorted.
Loki inspects it while scoffing;
[Apprentice's Sword]
Level: 1
Grade: Rare
Attack: 12-15
"While it may not do a lot of damage compared to other rare items, for a level 1 sword, it's the best in the city. It will also take a beating so you can use it for longer" Ignatius proudly boasted while puffing his chest out.
"This is awesome! Thank you, this is perfect for me" Loki checked the sword; it's a silver short sword perfect for agility and attack while moving around, literally all Loki knows how to do.
With the sword and boots ready to equip upon level up, Loki is ready to embark on his first adventure. He sets out at 6am to beat the influx of merchants. Getting out was easier than before as Loki received an apprentice badge from Ignatius. Although the guards just say bye and to leave them alone.
After a 15 minute walk, he reaches the forest and equips his new sword and mentally prepare for any and all monsters, after some tips from Ignatius, he was told that Boars, Bears and Wolves co-exist in the forest, constantly hunting each other for food and territory.
(Author Notes - honestly, couldn't think of other mobs, maybe I'll get more creative in future areas, but for now, you're getting the basic starting mobs you see in video games LOL)
Roaming through the bushes and the various trees, Loki is listening to any rustling, finally hears the rustling of a Boar and goes to inspect his first prey.
[Boar]
Level: 1
Attack: 12 (12 dmg per hit without armor)
Defense: 5 (-0.5 dmg per 5 points)
Health Points (HP): 250/250
Seeing the Boars stats makes him wonder if he can even beat it, relooking at his own stats with the inclusion of the sword:

(Author Notes... Again - Making the main Attack stat +13.5 cause it's the average which makes it easier, and will be the normal number added instead.)
With the sword from Ignatius, he calculated about 11 hits with the additional 13.5 attack damage. So he's hoping to end this quickly, and level up sooner rather than later.
Loki approaches the boar with his hand tightly holding his short sword. He decides on a loud and proud entrance to surprise the boar to get a few more hits. Running fast, Loki gets close to the boar and swings, gliding across the side while the boar jumps in shock.
-23.5!
With a quick dash back, Loki slices the other side of the boar before it reorganizes itself, doing another 23.5 damage.
The boar resets and is ready to charge, while Loki prepares to defend.
'BAM' the boar ran into Loki with the speed of a car and throws Loki back into a clearing.
-10.6!
Loki struggles to move as the wind it knocked out of him. He grits his teeth to get up, seeing the boar approaching and preparing the charge again. Loki peeks at his own health.
Health Points: 99.4/110
'I can only take 10 more of those hits, I should dodge instead of blocking, it's stronger than I am physically, but much slower' Loki assesses as he gets back up ready to take the fight to the boar.
After shaking off the stunned feeling, Loki charges back at the boar and begins slicing faster and faster finding his footwork and focus improving, as well as his handling with a short sword. He could get used to a short sword.

…..
After another 8 hits to the boar by just running around it as it's attack speed isn't very fast he learned, he was able to bring it low. Loki checks and see it's HP is at 20/250 and decides to strike one more time.
With a fierce strike to the side, the boar falls and as if by design, fades away into particles leaving only raw meet and it's tusks that hurt like trucks.
