Chapter 10 - Fighting Beasts (III)
"What?! Nalgorria, where are you going? Come back this instant!!" Varthan immediately shouted once he saw what the girl named Nalgorria wanted to do. However, she ignored him.
While rushing at a great speed towards the beasts, the blade grasped in her hand began to erupt a white light as she poured energy into it—through its veins.
Then suddenly, a dazzling, bright white flame—which had an intense golden boundary and streaking motes of shimmering black light, instantly surfaced around the blade, causing the temperature around her to radically increase. But, she wasn't affected by the sweltering heat, which conjured an air of mystery around her.
As for the unnatural-looking, multi-characterized flame that burned ferociously around the blade, it was tremendously hot that the heat emitting from it was probably a thousand times hotter than the heat that would emanate from a hundred ton of brightly burning coals.
Then using a technique called Incinerating Heavenly Blade, after getting into a close range with many incoming snarling beasts, she suddenly slashed out with the fiercely burning blade grasped in her hand at them.
WHIIISSSHH...!
A large, gold and white-colored ray of searing energy—Fire Originforce Energy, suddenly erupted from the blade and shot out at a great speed towards the beasts.
As it streaked through the air like a ray of light towards them, it left a wide, incandescent trail of blinding white flame in the air.
Then once it appeared before the targets, it cleanly cut their bodies in halves, which immediately caught fire, instantly burning down to cinders.
Every other person, who saw how she killed numerous beasts at once, began to march forward with braveness, attempting to kill more beasts to clear the route path.
Gradually, the beasts began to reduce in numbers.
Becoming enraged that thick vengeful auras began to emanate from their bodies, they suddenly roared in fury and unexpectedly spat out large scarlet balls composed of a variant form of Fire Originforce Energy.
Immediately the balls surfaced, they instantly emanated intense heat that caused both Hilgamech and the rest to be exceedingly horrified. It was like they were being faced by compressed, destructive suns.
Seeing that they would be destroyed soon if the attack wasn't parried or blocked, Hilgamech immediately moved to do something about it.
Quickly placing one hand above and the other below—which caused the two palms to face one another, AeroFlux energy rapidly gushed out of his two hands into the space between the palms. Then it quickly molded into a dense, cyan-colored ball that swiftly increased in size, before becoming heavily compacted—under Hilgamech's powerful mental influence to the size of an egg, despite more energy pouring into it like it were a raging flood.
The moment Hilgamech initiated this form of attack—called Great Planetary Breaker, the air around him became exceedingly chaotic. It was like he had summoned a wrathful wind tempest.
Then with the entire process only taking a few seconds for the attack to be ready, Hilgamech immediately aimed the spinning, cyan-colored ball at the devastating scarlet balls shooting over at great speeds.
As for Nalgorria, who could be said to be the instigator of the beasts' rageful mystical attacks, once she realized she won't be able to parry the joint offenses unleashed by the furious beasts, she quickly used a powerful evasion technique to escape from the onslaught of the overwhelming attacks, hoping that her colleagues would the same as well.

With the brightly glowing, egg-size cyan ball of energy blasting out of the space between his palms at a great speed, it brought with it astonishingly powerful gales that if it wasn't that they were firmly rooted to the ground with the powerful anchoring stances they took, they would be entirely blown off by the really heavy gales that accompanied the cyan ball—which moved with seemingly unparalleled domineering power as it shot towards the frightening, searing scarlet balls.
BOOOOMM...!!
Once the cyan ball reached a close proximity around the scarlet balls, it suddenly exploded—under Hilgamech's powerful will, releasing potent and fearsomely strong, tidal currents of air that rapidly cooled the large scarlet balls.
Absolutely none of the balls could withstand the tremendous burst of formidable air currents that ensued from the explosion of the ball.
If this happened—the explosion, before a large hill, there was no telling if it would crumble to the ground as fragments. Also, if it happened too close to the earth, the earth could suddenly open up in the form of a large and wide, alarmingly deep crater. However, Hilgamech hadn't mastered this particular skill to that 'slightly significant' level. It was still at the first level of the minor stage for the sub-technique called Great Air Explosion. If he could master it to the ninth level of the Great Wind Empyrean stage, he would be able to break worlds, reducing them to uncountable pieces.
So, once the glowing scarlet balls were impacted by the destructive waves of air that emerged, they immediately dissipated. While the energy that composed them, having lost the tangible vessels that contained it, immediately dispersed into the atmosphere.
Whaaaa...!!
Everyone, including Nalgorria, couldn't help but marvel at the incredible power that nearly swept them off their feet and shove them to a far distance. Then they suddenly felt that if they were really close to the radius of the wind explosion, they would be launched off like projectiles, crashing to the earth in the far distance as ripped or shredded flesh and shattered bones
So, just like that—in an overpowering manner, Hilgamech had blocked the dreadful scarlet balls released by the beasts all by himself. Then they started to look at him in a new light.
They had to accept that though he wasn't from an academy, he could however be called in the same note as them, since so far, he had effortlessly pulled off pretty solid moves that could nearly put them to shame. He cleanly and expertly executed his incredibly potent battle moves much more than they could for theirs.
After being astonished for a few seconds, they resumed their battle with the horde of furious beasts that were beginning to make their way towards them, kicking and stirring up dust as they barreled towards them with seemingly unbound beastial wrath.
Nalgorria, who still wielded the white blade that was a Treasure-weapon, immediately kept it away. Then suddenly, her hand began to glow in intense white light, emitting waves of terrifying heat at the same time.
Immediately pointing at the incoming beasts, the white glow emitting from her hand unexplainably changed to a red glow, while the heat emanating from it suddenly increased by many whole levels.
Then operating a special, fire-based combat technique called Seven Rings of Fiendish Fire, abruptly, seven dark-red rings of Fire Originforce Energy instantly shot out from the aiming finger towards the targeted beasts at extreme speeds.
Now, she wanted to show that she had more card or feats up her sleeve than Hilgamech who seemed to be superior, better, or greater than them in all ways.
