Upon hearing Nathan's overly poetic words, Ava shivered involuntarily, her teeth aching from the sweetness. Why was Nathan suddenly so flowery in his expressions?
Nathan himself was surprised that he could utter such sentiments with a straight face. Yet, since Ava hadn't reacted angrily, it seemed he had made the right move.
"So, the dinner at Xu's Restaurant, the roses, and that massive pile of chocolates were all your doing?" Although Ava knew these gestures were Nathan's, she wanted him to admit it openly.
"Yes, after that night, I took a hard look at myself and realized my mistakes. You can be sure I'll treat you right from now on. Whatever you ask, I'll strive to meet," Nathan said earnestly, nodding.
"Stop! I can't handle your kindness!" Ava quickly objected.
