(Flashback)
Andy was alone in the room, weeping. It was her birthday and yet the most sorrowful day of her life. She had been enticed by a tempting offer despite being content with what she had, leading to this regrettable situation of loving money too much. Even worse, when her boyfriend called on video call he would surely notice changes in her body that reflected their mistake - which made Andy worry all day long about his conspicuous absence as well! With only one month left before he returned home though there wasn't enough time for hiding it anymore: soon everyone will know unless she comes up with something quickly like pretending someone else is responsible or confessing outright (though both options seemed equally bad). The prospect of raising their child without any parental guidance haunted the child alone but dying was even more unthinkable than living under such circumstances. As despair threatened to consume everything around her, suddenly somebody knocked loudly at the door...
"I'm not expecting anyone, so who could it be?" She pondered.
"Who is there?" she inquired.
The voice exclaimed, "Open!"
Spying through the hole in the door, she caught a glimpse of her boyfriend Jaxon with flowers and gift packages in his hand.
She was left speechless, unsure of what to do next as panic set in. Quickly grabbing a big hoodie and pair of pants, she hurriedly put them on.
She decided to open the door after panting.
"Hey," she said, attempting to maintain her composure despite feeling nervous.
He asked with concern, "What caused you to open the door so late?"
"I was taking a shower" she lied
He giggled and burst out into Laughter ,
"How many times do you bathe in a day?"He questioned
She chuckled, "Let's forget about it."
As he made his way inside the house, he said "I want to be like you."
He joyfully exclaimed, "Come give your man a hug on this special day, my darling. Happy birthday!"
"I wasn't expecting you. Thanks," she said, with a hint of fear in her tone.
With a genuine smile he said, "your birthday is soo special to me and that's why I took a week off to spend it with you my queen. I couldn't afford to miss it"
"After the completion of my current project next month, we can spend some quality time together," he teased while tickling her. She giggled uncontrollably but suddenly had to rush to the washroom due to nausea.
To ensure her safety, Jaxon chased after her with untamed fervor resembling that of a wild creature.
"I'm fine," she lied, while she said without meeting his gaze. I had a fever but the doctor told me I'll be fine in a matter of days so don't stress, I'm good. She added
Someone knocked on the door.
"Who could it be?" she wondered to herself.
"Perhaps one of your friends wants to wish you a happy birthday" jaxon added quickly
Afterward, he glimpsed through the miniature aperture on the door and uttered.
"Someone may have ordered you a birthday gift because there's a delivery guy," he said, gazing directly into her eyes.
Thinking the gift was from Drake, she hissed and promptly went straight to her room.
Upon opening the door, Jaxon greeted the delivery guy and attempted to collect his package. However, despite Jaxon's insistence, the delivery man insisted on carrying it inside as he had been paid for this service. Although feeling somewhat uneasy about him, Jaxon stood close behind ensuring nothing was taken while they entered. Once inside and unable to locate his target—the girl whom he'd been tasked with eliminating—the hired assassin realized this mission had failed then decided to question Jaxon further.
"Are you certain that this is your residence? The package appears to be intended for a woman," inquired the contracted killer, displaying apprehension.
"You're just a delivery man, I doubt you have any knowledge of the contents in the package. However, that should be the least of your concerns at this moment. Please use the door," Jaxon stated with impoliteness.
The contracted killer felt infuriated and was on the verge of throwing a punch, but then he recalled that he was supposed to act like an unthreatening delivery person.
"Have a good day, sir," he said as he made his way out of the house.
Jaxon slammed the door, resulting in a noisy disturbance.
He screamed "Damn it!" and nearly bit his fingernails.
