"How are you, Mr. Allen?" Ryan greeted him with a smile. Allen remained expressionless but appeared relaxed.
Some of the company employees were taken aback when they spotted the young girl. Intrigued by her presence, the secretaries began taking pictures.
Despite noticing the photography, Allen paid no attention and instructed Ryan to join him in his office for a discussion. He wanted to address the situation.
He directed the senior secretary to supervise the little girl and ensure she stayed upstairs.
Meanwhile, as Allen entered the office, Aiden arrived at the company. Upon entering the lobby, he caught sight of Aurora, the charming little girl he had been dreaming about.
"Hello, Uncle Aiden is here!" Aiden announced his presence, prompting the little girl to excitedly run over to him on her tiny feet.
He knelt down to her eye level and embraced her joyfully. Planting a tender kiss on her chubby cheek, he then took her hand and guided her to his office.
The secretary assigned to watch over the little girl smiled and remained silent as Aiden escorted her to his office.
"Listen, Mr. Allen, the girl's mother is a friend of mine. I have been looking after her and couldn't bring myself to inform her about her daughter's whereabouts. I need to accompany her so she can go to school as it's already late," Ryan pleaded.
"I understand your position, Dr. Ryan. However, unless the DNA report indicates otherwise, I won't release the girl," Allen insisted.
Ryan remained with Allen when the hospital called to inform him that the DNA report was ready. He initially wondered about the quick turnaround but dismissed it upon realizing that the hospital was owned by the Rowan family.
Without a doubt, all other tasks must be set aside, and undivided attention should be given to any requests from members of the Rowan family.
Allen requested that it be promptly sent to him. After issuing the instructions, he instructed Ryan to wait and decide whether to inform his friend to meet him or to take the little girl away.
His secretary arrived and offered them both coffee, while Allen phoned Aiden to request the chief designer to come see him in his office.
Ryan focused his gaze on the sofa where he was seated. Isn't Lilian the chief designer of the company? She is Aurora's mother, and Mr. Allen was suggesting that he might be their father. The complexity of the situation made him uneasy. What was really happening?
Soon after, his bodyguards arrived and handed him a wrapped brown envelope. Allen eagerly opened it and perused the contents of the report. As he did so, Ryan watched him intently, trying to discern his facial expression.
Allen swiftly perused the report, his eyes gravitating towards the final comment at the bottom, revealing a 99.9999% likelihood of a father-daughter relationship.
A genuine, sweet smile adorned Allen's face for the first time in years. The weight of his worries and concerns over the past five years had finally borne fruit.
"Could it be true that the woman from five years ago bore my child?" Allen mused. Despite his exhaustive search and investigations, he had been unable to locate her. Yet, fate seemed to be orchestrating a reunion. The little girl would serve as the bridge that would lead them to recognize and embrace their familial bond.
Observing Allen's beaming smile, Ryan realized that the matter had been resolved. Allen was undeniably Aurora's father, and there was no chance of him relinquishing custody. Ryan needed to inform Lilian to meet with Allen.
The intricate connections revealed through Lilian's narrative left Ryan bewildered. Despite this, Allen and Lilian remained unaware of their relationship. Such a serendipitous turn of events was indeed a rarity.
Was Allen the man who had been haunting Lilian's nightmares? Was he the person her ex-husband had arranged for her, paying for his services?
Allen wasn't the type to stoop so low as to engage in such activities. Something didn't add up. Could there have been a confusion between Allen and the hired escort?
"My suspicions were correct. Aurora is my daughter, and I will not let her go," Allen asserted firmly, his eyes darkening with determination as his expression turned cold, as usual.
Before Ryan could respond, Aiden interjected.
"Hey, Ryan. What brings you here?" Aiden asked, walking over and shaking his hand.
Ryan shook his hand and expressed his intent to take the little girl, but it seemed like he wouldn't be able to rescue her from the clutches of the apparent antagonist.
Ignoring them both, Allen remained indifferent. Was he the villain in this scenario?
Aiden gazed at his brother and noticed the document on his desk. Taking hold of it, he began to peruse its contents. Indeed, the little girl was undeniably his niece.
Could it be that the events of five years ago had finally borne fruit? Had he unknowingly gotten the mystery woman pregnant that night? It seemed that the little girl was destined to reunite her parents. Aiden exchanged a meaningful look with his brother as their eyes met.
Letting out a noticeable sigh, he turned to Ryan and gave a slight shrug. As Ryan rose to leave, Aiden reluctantly acknowledged that he had no choice but to arrange a meeting between Lilian and the father of her daughter.
"Brother, Miss Lilian is not in the office yet. She called to inform me that she has a pressing matter concerning her daughter and needs to be excused..." Aiden explained.
"She can't be here yet because she's Aurora's mother!" Ryan exclaimed.
