Landing two slaps on him, she raised her hand for a third strike, but Ryan intervened, taking the blow on his own cheek. The heat of the impact spread through his face, momentarily numbing him as he sensed the color draining from the surroundings before a flush of redness set in.

In an attempt to pull Lilian away, Ryan encountered fierce resistance as she fought desperately to break free from his grip. Eventually overpowering her, he held her firmly by the waist.

"Don't make me hate you, Ryan! Let go of me!" Lilian's voice rang out in frustration.

"Calm down, Lilian. Don't act rashly; you may regret it later," Ryan urged, trying to calm her down.

Despite Ryan's plea, Allen stood his ground, his features turning cold as he exuded a chilling aura, signaling his return to his usual detached demeanor.
