"A friend?, why would the great wind dragon befriend a mere flame dragon", she exclaimed.
"A mere flame dragon? Me? A flame dragon!?!?", Alexander was angry at that statement.
He grabbed her by the throat and held her high, she was suffocating "never call me a mere flame dragon".
Varia was about to pass out for the second time but luckily Xavier stopped Alexander before things got worse.
"Stop!!". Xavier rushed towards them "Alexander! You need information right?, I'll handle this just leave".
Alexander calmed down as he puts her slowly back down, he left the two of them whilst Xavier was trying to help varia.
Though the desert night was cold, it didn't bother Alexander one bit. He looked at the vast desert but there was nothing to look at except sand and sand.
"Hooo does this place interest you?, great sun", the old man who was wearing a strange turban appeared behind Alexanders back.
'i... Didn't even notice him' , he was surprised of two things he knows about Alexander being the sun dragon and his presence was not detected.
"You know and still dare approach me?", Alexander looked him in the eye.
"Hohoho.... I know you aren't here to harm anyone, but I do know your looking for it".
A fortune teller... No a shaman? These are the thoughts of Alexander at that very moment.
"I am looking for something, but I'm sure it's not what your thinking about".
"In the temple of wind, the altar graces the sun there lies the unyielding faith and friendship of the sun and wind", the old man scratches his beard.
What he said shook Alexander, but not to an extent this was a common sentence in the past everyman and woman who lived here knew that phrase.
"Hohoo, surprised? Tomorrow meet me at the exact same place we are standing on perhaps the information that your looking for, is the information that I have". The old man said so confidently and left Alexander alone.
There were banging sounds back in the camp, dust was everywhere Alexander saw it and immediately went to see what was happening. Varia was out, Xavier who was supposed to guard her was sent flying.
"If you want things right, you gotta do it yourself", Alexander sighed and an instant he was Infront of varia he grabbed her head and smacked it into the ground. As soon as the dust was cleared out he looked at varia but there was no one there.
"Surprise!", she was on top of him, with a sharp dagger she managed to injure Alexander in the ear.
'tsk I had enough of this, I should have done this a while back', Alexander looked at varia dead in the eyes. She was frozen in place her tattoo began to glow.
"Wind, heed the words of your only ally, fret that he may harm your dearest disciple", Alexander chanted the words in dragon tongue.
Xavier couldn't understand, the bystanders couldn't aswell. But varia understood to such extent that she fell on her knees.
"I plead forgiveness to the friend of the wind, ruler of the sky oh great sun", she bit her lips while kneeling.
Alexander smiled but deep inside he was dying from cringe, 'i hated this greeting in past until now, great sun? Seriously?'.
"Hmm your plead is accepted, now don't bother us while we're here"
"Understood!". The woman disappeared with no trace, and there was peace.
With the orders from the shaman we were given pillows and blankets to sleep for the night.
Morning.
As soon as the sun rose Alexander got up immediately, and headed towards the location the old man told him they would meet.
It was early in the morning it was still freezing, only a handful of people were awake and were outside.
Arriving at the location the old man was staring in the vast desert, "so, you came did I pique your interest?".
"Yes, to the extent that I would kill you if your information is useless", Alexander only looked at him. "Your scaring me, your gonna give this old man a heart attack". He chuckled.
"Enough with the useless chatter, tell me what you know", Alexander forcibly cuts his laughter.
"Alright alright, well after the disappearance of the ancient city it wasn't erased off the map as you can see parts of the city are still there. Before the so called disaster struck a burst of light came aiming at the temple but since that place had the protection of the wind dragon it was still intact".
"I already know most of that tell me what happened after the attack". Alexander stops him midway.
"Well the city was crushed, but the temple vanished but not entirely it was below the ground even to this day. Though I can assure you monsters have inhabited that place".
"Is there a way to get down there?" Alexander asked.
"Why of course remember the tower you glided down from that was the very top of the temple!". The old man exclaimed.
"Huh? Seriously!?!", Alexander scratched his head.
"There's a hidden compartment, on top of the bell open it and there will be a button. That button will open the tower door so you can get down".
"Anymore I need to know about?"
"Nope, that's all I know". The old man smirked for a second.
Alexander was suspicious but the information does seem to be true, he headed back to their tent and slapped Xavier who was still asleep.
"Time for a plan".
