The Adventures Of Captain Dither:Kill All Hockey Pucks
The next day, a gray Kia drove into the parking lot. A gentleman with long hair and glasses stepped outside the driver's seat. It was Captain Dither's brother, Harry. He'd come to check out the production company that Captain Dither now owned.
Harry appraised the building before stepping up to the door. It didn't look like any production studio that he'd ever seen. "Eh!" Harry shrugged. What did he know about how a movie studio was supposed to look like. Still he planned on teasing Captain Dither about it when he was inside. What else are brothers for, anyway. Harry pounded on the door and proceeded to wait. He hoped someone would be along soon.

Witney spent the first three months in her new home under the bed. The couple she adopted were big, loud, and, sometimes, scary. But, they always made time to check in on her, to see how she was doing. Witney was doing fine. She was warm, had plenty to eat, and lots of comfy places to take a nap.
The couple self identified as a man and a woman. The man referred to himself as 'Daddy' and the woman, called herself 'Mama.'
Witney called them both crazy. But they seemed harmless, enough.
At some point, Witney decided that it was safe to come out from under the bed. She laid atop her purrch and basked in the sunny spot she found there.
Mama had been looking for new ways to engage with Witney. To get her to play. Witney ignore the wand toy, the foil balls, and the scratching post. If Witney were to be honest, she preferred to do her nails on the door frame, but Mama didn't like that. Daddy and Mama rented their home and Mama was concerned about Witney damaging the wood on the door frames.
Witney yawned and stretched on her purrch. The sun had shifted and she moved with it. To Witney, there was nothing more relaxing than laying in the sun. Her fur always felt toasty and good for hours afterwards.
Mama got up and poured herself a soda, finishing off the bottle. Mama tossed out the bottle, held the bottlecap and looked at Witney. "I wonder what you are going to do with this?" Mama let the cap drop on the ground with a rattle.
Witney sat up. She watched the plastic cap in her domain. Such an offensive trinket displeased Witney. Mama sat on the couch and watched Witney.
Witney jumped down from her purrch and stalked the cap.
She glanced at Mama,
Glanced at the cap.
Glanced at Mama.
Glanced at the cap.
Witney's paw flashed.
SMACK!
The cap bounced off a wall. It was clearly no match for Witney the mighty huntress. Witney yawned, arched her back, and strolled away to find a place to take her nap.
From then on, Mama and Daddy called bottlecaps hockey pucks. More and more hockey pucks appeared on the floor. Witney killed them all. Death to all hockey pucks.
Witney Spent her first three months in her new home, under the bed. The new Mommy and Daddy she adopted were big, loud, and sometimes scary. Witney was sure, when she saw food put out and her sandbox cleaned everyday, that her new family would be good. She just needed time to get used to them and they her. The kind words, check ins, and toys provided much to satisfy curious interest.

After waiting for what seemed like forever, Harry tried the door. He was surprised to find that it opened easily. Captain Dither must not have locked it. Harry sighed at Dither's negligence and let himself into the production studio.
Harry started walking the labyrinth. After a few miles and having to navigate around lots of debris, Harry understood why Captain Dither didn't bother to lock the door. A someone might try to clean out the studio, but it would take a long time. By the time the crook was done, the police would have arrived to take the poor weary man off to jail.
Harry came around the corner and saw Miss Jay with her back to him. She had a headset on with microphone and earphones. Harry thought that he might get some directions from her. He went up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. Miss Jay screamed and dove under a nearby desk to hide. Her reaction frightened Harry as well.
It took a few minutes for Harry's heartrate to return to normal. "I'm sorry, Miss?" Harry tried to sound less big and scary than he was. "I didn't mean to frighten you."
Miss Jay peeked out from under the desk. She wasn't sure who the strange man was. Now that she'd calmed down a bit. The man didn't look so scary. He seemed fuzzy. Like a teddy bear. Miss Jay smiled at the man and gave him a little wave.
Harry thought that Miss Jay was kind of cute. He smiled and returned the little wave. "I was wondering if you could help me." Harry started to ask. "I'm looking for my brother. He's supposed to be running this place. You wouldn't happen to know him, would you? His name is Captain Dither."
'Captain Dither' seemed to be the magic words. Like a shot, Miss jay scrambled out from under the desk. She grabbed Harry by the hand and dragged him to Captain Dither's office. Harry couldn't help but be dragged along by this very strange little woman. Harry held on for dear life. Scared to let go.
Harry closed his eyes and silently prayed that this crazy little lady was leading him to someone friendly who would be able to answer his questions.
Along the maze, Harry observed the woman. Suddenly, he didn't mind holding her hand, after all. For a different reason he didn't want to let that hand go. It would be too soon and too forward for Harry to do anything now. He still had no idea who she was. She just grabbed him and started pulling. Harry Oatmeal found himself thinking, 'Captain Dither, Where are you?'
