CHAPTER 29: A VISITOR.
"Hey mom. I can see you're a bit better now," Kane said, as they had returned back from the hospital.
"Hmm. I will be fine," his mother responded, as she struggled to get up from the bed.
"You will mom. Sorry I couldn't come on time to take you to the hospital," Kane apologized.
"I totally understand honey. I know all you're going through in that job, and I know you're trying to get money to help I and your sister," she acknowledged.
"But he should have come immediately I called him. What if something bad had happened to you?" Stephanie angrily said, still upset with Kane.
"Hey honey. Don't say that, he's doing all that for us. You know we don't have any money in this house," she revealed to Stephanie.
"And how can your boss be this wicked and heartless? Am sure you told her about Mom's health condition, and she was still adamant on letting you leave," Stephanie complained.
