CHAPTER 35: LIES!
"Where in God's name did she go to?" Kane's mother asked, wondering. As Stephanie wasn't back from wherever she went to.
She opened the door, and walked outside the house, looking round the place to see if she was somewhere close.
"Hey Mel. Please excuse me," she called, as she saw her neighbor's son walking into their apartment.
"Good day ma'am," Mel greeted, as he stopped and walked closer to her.
"How are you doing today?" she asked.
"Am good ma'am,"Mel responded.
"I can see you're just coming back from your spot," she said, looking at him.
"Yes ma'am."
"Did you by any means saw Stephanie?" she asked.
"I only saw her leaving the house when I was also leaving for my spot," Mel reported.
"Oh, okay. Thank you for the information," she appreciated, and walked back home.
"Is everything okay ma'am?" Mel asked, interrupting her movement.
