Advance Colony of the Water Nation.
"Atten-shun!" Brad shouted, overseeing everyone as they welcomed the grand general, who was also the ruler of this entire place.
"At ease!"
"Yes, sir!"
Thorian looked over how the colony was now under their people's total control and walked towards the areas where armor was being crafted to supervise weapon creation. "How are the uniforms I requested for our coalition army coming along?"
"The insignia will be a four-leaf clover, as you requested. We're looking for a type of fabric that fits the whole body and is very flexible so that soldiers can move freely. This led us to an ideal fabric for facing any situation, resulting in this outcome."
Looking at the white suits with breathing masks, which were just one of the initial investigations for warrior enhancements, Thorian saw that this armor was designed to maximize the warriors' defenses, giving them total protection in any environment.
"We can only produce fifty suits per day, and for now, they're reserved for the best warriors, but that may change later," Brad said, showing how many soldiers are currently armored.
That was an incredible number. This armor was also designed so that no Earthbender could manipulate it since there was no mineral of their domain in this suit.
Short metal daggers were designed for the warriors' fighting style, mostly indoctrinated with a trio combat style if they found themselves cornered and in groups for close combat.
Additionally, new weapons were being invented for warriors without elemental abilities, such as cannon manipulation, combat cruiser handling, and building new weapons for the grand invasion.
Every idea, no matter how small, to maximize warriors' abilities and an army was well received. Moreover, with new ideas for training the warriors, it was ideal to also increase tactics.
Walking towards the training grounds where there were at least a thousand young and adult men, Thorian, who wanted to showcase the new weapons that would be integrated into the armor's wrists, shouted, "You all must have noticed the armor we've created. Many think they won't get theirs, but due to production issues, we need to prioritize these armors for the strongest warriors."
Everyone looked at Thorian, who was just a sixteen-year-old but was not only their commander but also the governor of the Southern Water Nation and had faced Fire Nation commanders head-on.
"If anyone still has thoughts of being inferior to more experienced warriors, they're mistaken. With proper training and necessary weapons, you'll be deadlier than even a squad of element manipulators." Thorian wasn't lying with his words.
Pausing, he looked at everyone and said, "Men fight with certain restrictions and processes that weaken them, and that's what all of you will exploit to become formidable killers. This is a weapon that fires a small paralyzing harpoon. When it hits a human, regardless of their training, they'll drop like a sleeping baby."
Everyone eyed the hidden weapon on a soldier's wrist, and without hesitation, he fired it at an animal brought for demonstration.
Bang!
When the harpoon pierced the animal's skin, it collapsed to the ground in just a few seconds without even knowing what was happening.
"Proper weapons, proper training, and you won't have to fear the enemy," Thorian said, instilling confidence in his future soldiers. "It'll be your decision whether you want to fight in our fleet, manipulating cannons, or on a battlefield directly, relying on your skills."
"Understood, sir!"
Thorian nodded in satisfaction and, after imparting some knowledge, walked away. Just like this place, there were five other places where recruits were being trained, so they needed to be aware of that.
"So far, we've had fifty Earthbender warriors. They're not talented, but with our training, they'll be good soldiers for our advanced combat tactics," Brad informed about the army's progress.
Taking all of this into account, Thorian agreed to a meeting to establish the next plans that needed to be considered. "Gather the appointed generals, elders, and captains of utmost importance."
"Understood, sir!"
