Chapter 41 - A Tear

"Thorian, don't continue with this battle!" Thorian looked at Suki, who had interfered, and slowly lowered his sword. He watched as a cruiser sped away in the distance, and when he looked at his soldiers, waiting for orders, he just shook his head.

"Out of respect, we will let this pass today. But if the enemy has not disappeared from the Southern Seas, we will kill them later." Turning around, Thorian surveyed the chaos and furrowed his brows slightly before leaving the place.

Once they were away, Thorian watched as the Water Nation cruisers moved to intercept the other cruiser that was quickly retreating. "Make sure to kill them all; today I will take care of eliminating every remaining invading rat in our seas."

"Understood, my lord!"

There were still some enemies in these seas, especially because there was a colony in the Earth Nation not far from this location, and that's where they should focus the war right now.

But in that regard, what they needed was to gather Earthbenders and train them in the combat techniques that Thorian had taught everyone to rapidly increase their capabilities.

At this time, he didn't know if his abilities were better than others', but what he did know was that despite everything that had happened, he had a better clan style focused not on defense but on attack.

Thorian planned to form an army with soldiers of all capabilities; the Army of the Four Elements would be something extremely special to rule all nations and thus stop the war that had never ceased in the last hundred years of history.

"What do we do with this village?" Brad walked towards Thorian and asked with absolute respect; his gaze was always directed towards his lord with total adoration because Thorian had shown him the path to victory.

Thorian turned towards the villagers and said, "Gather the young men; we will train them in bending arts, and if they are descendants of the Earth Nation, they should have the talent to be warriors."

"Will the people here agree?" Brad wasn't sure if the people of this village, who had been nervous for so many years, would agree to be part of this war.

When Thorian heard this, he turned back and said, "I will solve that now; soon, we will have to form a defense line that will extend to the north, so our power will weaken."

Taking all that into account, now that a defense line had been formed from the previous island, which was just a colony, they had to think about other things, and now he had an idea.

"Let's go, heal any wounded, and make sure to clean up all this mess to rebuild the collapsed houses." Thorian shouted while trying to be as helpful as possible.

While everyone did that work, Thorian's eyes focused on Suki, who looked at him with some anger from before, but if there was one thing they agreed on, it was that he couldn't allow anyone to get hurt in this war that he would lead, and he would do everything possible to prevent it.

"Don't you think it was excessive to confront Kyoshi?" Yukari approached Thorian, who had now taken command of this island, and asked in a serious tone.

"Excessive? Was I really excessive?" Thorian smiled strangely. "No! I still think it wasn't enough."

Pausing, Thorian pointed at the men behind Kyoshi and said, "Are those people still afraid that the invaders will return? The killers must be executed without any compassion, and now that they have tasted a bit of the knowledge of this war, I will recruit the youngest men and children who will be trained for the great war."

Thorian's words made everyone look at him.

"You have all felt some of my pain, the pain that has divided my people among ourselves. You have been lucky to have us nearby, or many would have surely died. But now, as the grand general of the coalition army and ruler of the Southern Water Nation, I offer you the possibility of fighting effectively."

Thorian shouted, looking at the people around him. Suki looked at Thorian with anger; she never expected him to dare drag them into war, much less in this way.

"I don't care if you don't have the talent to bend like your ancestors; we will train you in such a way that you will become true soldiers and face benders without feeling oppressed or fearful."

Brad watched as everyone fell into deep thought at Thorian's words; this meant that they now shared a single vision.

"As long as I'm alive, I will lead the battlefields; I will be the one who always goes to the front without any fear, and I will ensure that your efforts are not in vain." Thorian shouted with absolute authority in his voice.

Yukari watched how the people of her village felt encouraged and said with furrowed brows, "No one from this village will be your soldiers; we will support you with resources as much as we can, but don't ask us for warriors."

"Those people behind you don't agree with those words; some of them have felt the importance of weakness and are determined to be strong to defend this island and the rights to freedom that we hold so dear." Thorian said, looking at the dozen men who had stepped forward to learn.

"I will seek the right way to govern without war, bloodshed, and suffering. You will build a path filled with security for your descendants; all of you will be named in the history books once the war ends and we have won."

Brad, who saw the right moment, shouted, "For a world free of blood!"

"Aow!"

"For the liberation of our people!"

"Aow!"

As Thorian saw the participation of the whole island, a look of authority was directed at all of them to acknowledge him as their leader.

"Do you now know how to think about the next battle? Then, all those who seek a new world by my side will know that they must fight or die in the old world." Thorian thought as he walked away, glancing back at Suki, who turned around angrily.

At this moment, Thorian couldn't do anything; he could explain it, but maybe she wouldn't understand.
