Chapter 38 - The Carta Mundi

"if she dies, you die!" Her voice echoed in my mind once again as I stood in silence.

She was right. I had signed a "till death do us part" blood pact with Kimberly, the most dangerous blood pact in the history of magic.

It was different from the loyalty blood pacts masters and servants signed with each other.

This one is called The Eternal Union Blood Pact— a binding tie where the life of the two lovers were intertwined. If one perishes, so would the other.

"What! You subjected her to such a deadly pact? How dare you!" Lycan King Alfred's voice brimmed with outrage, his menacing aura seething with anger as he resisted the urge to attack me.

I could see the sinister aura surrounding him as he fumed in anger, his deadly eyes glued to me.

"I had my reasons. Don't interfere!" My retort was sharp as I pressed forward, shouldering the weight of Kimberly's unconscious form as I made my way out of the Bloodmoon Palace.
