Chapter 5 - Red Coffee

As the most esteemed Queen Helen in vampire history, the most powerful vampire currently alive would become the primary target for all bounty hunters and vampire slayers! However, Helen is their prey, so how could she let others covet her?

Ten minutes later, Dennis drove into the school and as soon as he parked his car, he received a notification asking him to go to the principal's office. The personnel from the Hunting Bureau came to find him.

Dennis stood in front of the principal's office door and raised his hand to knock. 'Teacher, it's Dennis,'

"come in."

In the office, a middle-aged man in his fifties is sitting on the sofa. He is James, the principal of this university. Sitting across from James are two plainclothes police officers.

One of them is James, a straightforward person and the captain of the local police station. The other one is Abby, who comes from the provincial headquarters and his identity is currently kept confidential.

Dennis walked into the office and said, 'Teacher, did you call for me?'

Come and have a seat." James patted the spot next to him and said, "These two are on our side. They want to ask you about something, just tell them the truth.

Dennis sat down next to James, slightly puzzled, and said, "Okay."

Hank opened his briefcase and took out a transparent plastic bag containing several photos of the deceased. "Mr. Dennis, these people are all the deceased from Star City in the past month. They all have one thing in common, which is that they have been drained of blood and turned into corpses. So, we want to know if there have been any vampires around Star City recently."

Abby added, "Mr. Dennis is responsible for managing the regional security in the Liangcheng area. If you could cooperate with us in investigating the case, it would be even better. After all, we also need to give citizens a normal and reasonable explanation for such abnormal death cases."

Dennis smiled politely and said, 'I haven't found any traces of vampires in Star City recently. I suggest you consider contacting other cities and collaborating to solve the case as soon as possible.'

"That's fine, then we won't disturb you any longer, Principal James. Thank you for your help," Hank said and stood up with Abby.

Abby walked to the door, suddenly turned back and looked at Dennis. Her gaze paused for a few seconds before she said, 'Mr. Dennis, if you discover any traces of vampires, please report it immediately to the headquarters or contact me. Thank you for your cooperation.'

"okey."

James closed the door to his office, sat back on the sofa, lit a cigarette and took two puffs. He looked serious and said, "Dennis, can you confirm for me that there really haven't been any sightings of vampires?"

Dennis gave a faint smile and said, 'Teacher, do you suspect me?'

"Is that doubt? I'm concerned about you," James tapped the table and said sternly, "Although I have retired from the Bureau of Hunters, the rules of the Bureau have never changed. Keeping vampires in secret is a serious crime, and one small mistake can ruin your reputation forever."

"Teacher, don't worry, I know my limits. Also, as people get older, it's better to smoke less and drink more soup, paying attention to health." Dennis walked over and took the cigarette from James' hand, extinguishing it.

"You, kid, did you dare to snatch cigarettes from the teacher's hand? Hurry up and go do something, so I don't get annoyed when I see you." James waved his hand.

"Okay, I'm leaving." Dennis said as he picked up the cigarette from the coffee table and threw it directly into the trash can.

In the office, James looked thoughtfully at Dennis's back. After a while, James picked up his personal phone and dialed a number. When the call was answered, he said in a deep voice, 'We're starting to get some clues on the matter. Let's wait a little longer.'

On the other end of the line, a faint voice like a mosquito could be heard. It was impossible to tell if it belonged to a man or a woman. They simply said one word and hung up.

James hung up the phone and glanced at the cigarette in the trash can, humming to himself, "We all have to die sooner or later. If I smoke less, will it make me not die?"

...

At nine o'clock, Dennis just finished a class and stood in front of the podium tidying up his teaching materials.

A girl with a red face and lowered head walked up to the front of the podium, mustering up her courage and said, 'Teacher Dennis, this is handmade heart-shaped chocolate for you to taste.'

"Thanks. I don't like chocolate," Dennis said without looking up, a faint smile playing at the corner of his lips. Holding onto his beliefs, he turned and walked away.

In the classroom, the girl held a chocolate bar and had a disappointed expression on her face. 'Teacher Dennis...' This scene was repeated every day in Dennis' class, except for weekends. Despite being young, Dennis became a teacher who not only looked more handsome than TV stars but also exuded an air of elegance and aloofness.

Those female students always possess an endless brute force, constantly emerging and persistently fighting, enjoying it without getting tired. However, there are exceptions, such as this very moment.

"Miss, which department are you from? Would you like to join us for a cup of coffee?"

On the quiet and elegant tree-lined path on campus, several male students walked together, shoulder to shoulder, blocking a woman.

The woman has long golden hair, delicate facial features, fair skin, and slightly curled thick and long eyelashes. A layer of deep and hazy shadow falls around her eyes, which are mysterious and unfathomable.

Helen held a sun umbrella and wore a golden wig, covering her pointed ears. She looked confused, seemingly tempted: "Coffee? Can I have it in red?"

"Did you really like drinking red wine? Alright then, we can pour the red wine on you, Miss, and let you savor it sip by sip. How about that?" The boys instantly cheered and rejoiced upon discovering that this young lady actually enjoyed drinking alcohol. It couldn't get any better than this - they could get her drunk.

"Okay." Helen smiled, a hint of excitement flickering in her eyes.

"Let's hurry and go, the café is nearby." The boys quickly lead the way.

Helen was excited and followed the boys as they left. Finally, there was fresh and delicious food, and she couldn't wait to show her sharp teeth.

"Damn it! How did this thing come out?" In the office, Dennis stood by the window and caught a glimpse of that figure. Finally, he put down his textbook, rubbed his forehead lightly, and walked towards the outside.
