At nine o'clock in the evening, Helen has not returned yet.
In a two-story building in the outskirts of Star City, Dennis sat on the couch on the first floor, brewing a pot of rose lemon fruit tea and quietly waiting for Helen to come home.
He turned on a small lamp next to him, adjusting the light to a dim setting. It was the lowest level of brightness, so his expression couldn't be seen and his eyes remained hidden. In the subdued lighting, he appeared serene and tranquil like an elegant and aloof statue, silent and peaceful.
If it weren't for the lingering aroma of tea forming dynamic smoke, swirling around his beautiful and sharp countenance, perhaps even he himself would think that he had long lost the radiance and courage of life, leaving only an empty shell of flesh, existing like a walking corpse.
With a creak, the door opened and a damp figure walked in from outside. Helen was wrapped in a wet sheet, barefoot and stepping on muddy ground, returning with bruises all over her legs.
"Where did you go?" Dennis stood up and blocked Helen, continuously observing her body.
"I don't need you to worry, I will leave tomorrow. Thank you for your hospitality these past few days," Helen passed by Dennis, her voice cold.
At this moment, she doesn't want to see this ruthless and cold-blooded human anymore.
"Wait, you're injured." Dennis held Helen's hand, his gaze fixed on her bare ankle.
"So what? It can grow back anyway, right?" Helen retorted sarcastically, quoting the words Dennis had said to her earlier in the morning.
"Go for treatment," Dennis said calmly.
"I won't go, let go of me." Helen struggled, trying to shake off Dennis' hand.
"No way!"
"Let go!"
"No way!"
"Let go!"
"No――"
During their argument, Helen raised her hand and slapped Dennis, leaving five finger marks on his face.
And the sheets on her body were torn in half during pulling. In the darkness, Helen was naked, without any clothes on. Her body was very sexy, without any flaws.
Dennis stood rigidly in place, his beautiful and cold face suddenly frozen, with his thin lips slightly parted, indifferent and silent.
Helen's face turned completely dark, and she stood frozen in place for three seconds. She quickly covered her chest and picked up the Bed sheet. to wrap around her body before turning and heading upstairs.
Damn it! What is she doing?
"Wait, don't go..." In the dim light, a slender arm suddenly reached out towards Helen and forcefully embraced her. Dennis's voice seemed to carry a hint of pleading.
On this pitch black night, she was wet and would she feel cold? Before Helen could speak, Dennis kissed her mouth,Dennis blocked all her words, leaving her with no chance to refuse.
Helen was stunned, before she could even imagine what had happened, she was enveloped by his presence. She felt a bit dizzy, after all, she liked this man's youthful appearance, his eyes as deep as ink, and his lips with a faint warmth.
Dennis's heart trembled slightly as he gently kissed her. Helen seemed to lose herself, never expecting a human to dare kiss her like this. Undeniably, she enjoyed his kisses, with a faint scent of rose tea and a hint of refreshing lemon.
This long kiss, like a long night, crazily lingers in her memories, lasting and unable to be erased. On this night, Helen succumbed to his tenderness, leaving her with nowhere to hide.
As for how she was carried into the bathroom by Dennis to clean the wounds on her feet, it has become a dark crimson petal in the darkness. It should have been a vivid memory, but it is also hazy and unclear.
"I'm sorry, I..."
Dennis stood in front of the bed, regaining his cold expression and calm demeanor, unsure of how to apologize. Perhaps at that moment, he was angry because he had been slapped by this woman, but it was not intentional to offend her.
Helen had also regained consciousness. This man was talking about hunting down her kind at noon, and now he was kissing her? Ridiculous! She lay in bed, not looking at Dennis.
"I give you a slap, and you give me a kiss. We owe each other nothing."
Dennis frowned slightly, paused for a few seconds, and calmly said, "Okay." After speaking, he turned around and walked away.
In the quilt, Helen closed her eyes. At this moment, why is her heart, which should not have a heartbeat, beating wildly? She was completely unaware at this time. Something has already been growing deep inside her.
At night, a gentle breeze blows. In the night sky, stars shine brightly, casting a radiant glow on the ground. Dennis holds a cup of rose tea and stands on the balcony, enjoying the breeze. A strand of night wind brushes against his hair, slightly tousling it. It appears fluffy and textured. How could this happen? He unexpectedly lost control and kissed a vampire.
.....
The next day, Dennis didn't have breakfast and went to work very early.
When Helen got up, the house was very quiet, as if you could hear the sound of hair falling on the ground. In the kitchen, the refrigerator was filled with food, a quantity that Helen had never seen before.
Helen walked into the living room with a blood bag in her mouth and noticed a note on the door, along with an unsigned bank card.
On the note, it says "Remember to come home on time. Password: 458659. Also, don't go near Star City University. And are you a fool?
Helen snorted coldly in her heart. This man wants to please her, yet he insults her! Today, she is going to max out this credit card!
In order to seek revenge, she decided to go out and spend extravagantly. After all, it's not her money, so she doesn't need to save at all.
After Helen finished eating, she put on a white long dress and carried a casual bag. The bag was filled with her lunch. Then, she wore a beach-style sun hat and walked out with a white Samoyed from her backyard. She looked like a noble lady, attracting attention as she went out.
Woof woof woof! Along the way, the Samoyed was curious about everything, constantly wagging its tail and rolling around, hopping to the east and jumping to the west. It even had a little chat with a passing dog, regardless of whether it was a female or male dog. It seemed like it hadn't seen much of the world before.
Helen named the Samoyed George.
So, the whole morning. I only saw her being dragged around by dogs on the road, wailing and crying out to the heavens.
"George, do not eat grass."
"George, don't chase after Miss."
"George, do not urinate on the street."
Helen swore in despair. From now on, she would never walk the dog again. It was not revenge against Dennis, but rather a punishment for herself.
