When Ninth Uncle learned that Leo had come to sell enchanted scrolls, he grew harsh. For any clan, having an enchanter with their unique skills and abilities was highly valuable. Additionally, Leo had drawn the Wild Explosion rune. Even Cassia had not yet succeeded!
"Did you bring the enchantment scroll? I need to evaluate it." The ninth uncle spoke.
Leo was familiar with the rules. Aside from a few well-known master enchanters, regular enchanters who sought to sell enchantment scrolls here had to undergo an evaluation.
He nodded his head. He grabbed a finished Wild Explosion scroll from his bosom and handed it to Ninth Uncle.
Because the strong potency had all been bound by the rune, not much could be seen when just looking only from the outward appearance. In order to appraise an enchantment scroll, the only way to appraise it was through the rune.
With care, Ninth Uncle slowly unrolled the Wild Explosion scroll that he had just taken. On the side, Valdor could not help but lean in to see what was going on. Harold was still a little worried, even though he had guaranteed Leo that he was not an enchanter.
Finally, the Wild Explosion scroll was spread out all the way and put nicely on the table. All eyes in the crowd were on the scroll. Leo was actually very cool because he knew what was going on, but Alden was sweating off to the side. Even though Leo told him it went well, he was not sure. He was anxiously waiting for the result of this ninth uncle's evaluation. Leo could say that he would make a substantial profit right away if it really worked, potentially earning thousands of taels of gold.
Ninth Uncle looked at the Wild Explosion scroll slowly, and his eyebrows were creased. It had been years since he had been in the Golden Pavilion and seen so many enchantment scrolls, but this time he was not sure what this one was.
Whether it was viewed as the construction and fluency of the smaller runes or the entire rune, this was undoubtedly a successfully completed Wild Explosion scroll.
However, although these runes clearly represented the Wild Explosion rune's characteristics, upon closer inspection, he realized that he did not recognize them!
Even though all enchantment scroll runes are drawn in a certain way and cannot be copied just by looking at them, Ninth Uncle knew a lot about the Wild Explosion Scroll because it was a low-level enchantment scroll that was hard to make and had a strong practical use. But he did not get this rune, and he had some questions about it.
More importantly, this Wild Explosion scroll was actually drawn purely from the animal blood component. This was highly unusual and unprecedented. As a result, he couldn't determine its authenticity accurately.
"Ha ha ha ha, do you really think it is an enchantment scroll? Do you believe that randomly combining components will create a genuine enchantment scroll?" Ninth Uncle still hadn't said anything before Valdor began to laugh out loudly. In his voice was undisguised disdain.
"I heard that yesterday you bought a bottle of savage wolf blood here? You didn't just rub the blood onto this blank scroll right after you got home, right? You're making me laugh to death. If becoming an enchanter were easy, everyone would do it. I see that you thought about money so much that you went crazy!"
Right now, Valdor is completely believing Harold's words. Leo really wasn't an enchanter.
It should be known that Valdor himself was an enchanter and a member of Stellaria City's Enchanter Guild. As an enchanter, Valdor's financial resources and expertise elevated him above ordinary martial artists.
He also knew about the Wild Explosion scroll; however, with his current prowess, there was no way he could draw it. Previously, when Leo said he had drawn the Wild Explosion scroll, Valdor had already begun to not really believe it. Now, seeing the entire enchantment scroll, he no longer had any doubts.
He had never seen an enchantment scroll constructed from purely animal blood. Every enchanter knew that drawing enchantment scrolls required the use of rare, mystical ingredients.
Leo ignored Valdor's words and only looked towards Ninth Uncle.
After a moment of scrutiny, Ninth Uncle shifted his gaze from the scroll to Leo and slowly remarked, "This scroll appears rather peculiar. There are some differences between it and the Wild Explosion scrolls I've seen. I also don't dare to make a final verdict."
Hearing this, Leo frowned. Although he knew that his Wild Explosion scroll and common enchantment scrolls had some differences, he had not anticipated the difficulty in recognizing the distinctiveness of his creation.
Thinking about it, Leo spoke again: "I can offer one scroll as a test product. If it has a sufficient result, then I think it should be able to prove that my scrolls are usable, right?"
Although one enchantment scroll's price was upwards of a thousand taels of gold, in order to prove his enchantment scrolls were indeed usable, Leo couldn't mind it. Leo had already created three scrolls in total. After using one, there would still be two.
Hearing Leo's words, Valdor once again began laughing out loud. "Test it? What a joke. You can't just enchant any random device, and even if there is a low-tier iron grade weapon, its price will already be a couple thousand taels of gold. Every weapon can only be enchanted once. If yours is useless, wouldn't that have been a huge waste? If you want to test your own enchantment scrolls, then pull out your own weapons. This is the rule. Do you have a couple thousand taels of gold?"
Ninth Uncle nodded his head, saying: "He is right, indeed. If you want to test an enchantment scroll, you need to provide the weapon yourself."
At this moment, Leo could only manage a bitter smile, masking his disappointment. He had not expected that selling an enchantment scroll would entail such intricate challenges. At that moment, Leo found himself without a single weapon to test his enchantment scrolls. Where would he go and get an iron grade weapon?
"Brother Leo, should we just forget it? You've broken through anyway. Entering the Zephyr Blade Sect is a given now. Once we have money in the future, we can test it again, and it won't be too late." Alden said it from the side. Although he didn't really believe that Leo could succeed in drawing out the enchantment scroll, he didn't feel very good seeing Leo's current appearance.
"What people are doing what things? You're still dreaming of becoming an enchanter. Is an enchanter something someone like you can become?" Valdor said proudly. He felt a surge of superiority wash over him, evident in his smug expression. Seeing Leo's appearance, he felt better than if he had beaten the crap out of Leo.
However, Valdor's arrogance caused Ninth Uncle to feel irritated. He still appreciated young people like Leo, who displayed a balance of confidence and humility in their demeanor. He suddenly spoke again: "Leo, wait a moment. I'll send a message to Miss Cassia. She said before that if you came to sell enchantment scrolls, I should let her know. Young Miss Cassia is an enchanter. Even if I can't tell, maybe she will be able to."
Hearing this, Leo's face immediately lit up. "Then I'll have to trouble Senior."
He firmly believed that his enchantment scrolls had no problems. Gold will always shine.
Ninth Uncle nodded and pulled out a transmission rune. He whispered a few words, and the transmission rune suddenly vanished into a stream of light.
Now Valdor was a bit alarmed. "Young Miss Cassia? Was it really Cassia? Could it be that this pig Leo actually knew her?"
The shop immediately became quiet. A crowd of people waited for Cassia to arrive. Furthermore, Valdor chose to stay and witness Leo's potential downfall. He wanted to see Leo become disgraced!
