A little while later, a carriage pulled up to the Golden Pavilion.
Two well-dressed, graceful women leaped out of the carriage as Leo and the other few turned their heads to look. Freya and Cassia were there. As they delicately made their way towards the Golden Pavilion, the two of them held hands.
They arrived very quickly.
Unfortunately, someone obstructed their way just as the two of them were about to enter.
"Hey there, Miss Cassia and Freya; it's been a while." Standing before the two women, Valdor beamed with delight.
Cassia seemed a bit displeased and scowled as she glanced at Valdor after being unexpectedly blocked. Despite her expression, her attitude remained positive. But she came to the realization that she did not recognize this person. Without hesitation, she inquired, her voice somewhat betraying her confusion, "May I ask who you are?"
Valdor's face flushed slightly as Cassia asked him. He nervously grinned and introduced himself: "I am Valdor of the Enchanter Guild. We've met a few times before."
"Valdor?" Cassia explored her memory and realized that she had no impression of him. The enchanter guild had a large number of members. Everyone would know her because of her identity, but there were only a few people who qualified to be remembered by her.
Cassia could put up with conversing with Valdor, but Freya was uninterested in Valdor, who had appeared out of nowhere, and she ignored him. Her gaze moved past him, revealing Leo behind. Her face quickly brightened.
"Leo, do you remember me? we meet again." Freya spoke as she threw off Cassia and moved over to Leo, blinking a set of beautiful eyes.
"Aa… i.. remember. Of course I remember." Leo nodded with a little embarrassment, his face turning a little red. Facing such a radiant and beautiful young lady like Freya.
Receiving Leo's response, Freya immediately began to giggle excitedly, revealing two cute dimples, and her eyes were bright.
Leo couldn't help but smile at Freya's infectious laughter, feeling a sense of warmth in her presence.
Even though Freya had just met Leo the day before, she was excited to see him and wasn't sure why. She normally had an endless number of brave princes surrounding her, similar to Valdor, but all she felt was contempt. She felt quite different about Leo.
There was something about Leo that drew her in, making her heart flutter in a way she had never experienced before. Freya couldn't wait to explore this new connection further and see where it might lead.
"Ninth Uncle has informed me that you were able to successfully draw an enchantment scroll." Freya continued to ask.
Upon discussing business, Leo eventually started to act more like himself. "It should be a success, but senior said he couldn't appraise it, so we specifically troubled Miss Freya and young Miss Cassia to help appraise it," he added, nodding his head.
With a charming little tongue spit, Freya said, "I'm not that talented. Cassia is a gifted enchantress; that much is certain. And also, please stop calling me Miss Freya. That sounds weird and uneasy to hear. You can just call me Freya."
After saying it, Freya quietly added in her heart, 'I have gone easy on you; others want to call me that, and I won't let them.'
Leo chuckled at Freya's request and replied, "Alright, Freya, it is then. Thank you for coming."
While the two were conversing, Cassia also, at last, let go of Valdor and joined them.
After saying hello to Ninth Uncle, she started talking to Leo and said, somewhat astonished, "You have succeeded in drawing the Wild Explosion scroll?"
"En, the drawing worked out well. I must also express my gratitude for the book you handed me. It was quite helpful. But Senior said that he was unable to appraise the scroll, which is why we asked you to do so."
"Young Miss, there was some unclear stuff in the transmission rune. I summoned you over to personally evaluate this Wild Explosion scroll since this elderly servant was unable to come to a decision." Uncle Ninth said.
Cassia nodded. "Let me first look at the rune, then."
"Young Miss Cassia, there's no need to look at that rune. I just looked at it, and it was not even an enchanted scroll. It was just smeared animal blood." Cassia had gotten rid of Valdor, who immediately re-entered the conversation and began to speak loudly.
Cassia had just said a few words to him, which made him so delighted that he lost track of himself and imagined himself as a character. Despite being a member of the Enchanter's Guild, he was merely an apprentice enchanter. Putting on airs was great in front of regular martial artists, but Cassia, Freya, and Ninth Uncle would all avoid him.
Freya, on the other hand, found his arrogance irritating. Her brows furrowed as she stared at Valdor, wondering, "Who are you, ah? Is this the place for you to talk? Go out to the side and calm off."
Freya would not have the same attitude toward other individuals as she did toward Leo, and she did have some feelings for Leo. Valdor declaring the magic scrolls that Leo drew useless was virtually the same as slamming his mouth against a wall, causing himself anguish.
Valdor felt uneasy after being admonished by Freya and did not dare to speak out.
Alden grinned as he saw Valdor's lack of bravery. It was fantastic to see the evil get deflated. Even so, Brother Leo remained powerful. He had covertly gained young Miss Freya's favor. Alden resolved to have a decent conversation with Leo once they returned. 'Miss Freya is truly interested in him due to his enchanting personality. He should take this on and become the Sterling family's in-law. Then he wouldn't be short of money!'
Cassia could now relax and gaze at Leo's enchanted scroll without being distracted by Valdor.
Cassia was absolutely taken aback when she unfolded the enchanted scroll and glanced through it; her attention had suddenly become razor sharp. Her gaze became intensely focused on the scroll.
The entire Golden Pavilion grew quite silent. Valdor's people were frightened to offend Freya, so they didn't say anything, and Leo was uneasily eyeing Cassia. If Cassia also stated that there was no method to assess it, he was concerned that he would be unable to sell the three Wild Explosion scrolls in the near future.
Freya appeared to be more interested in Leo than the Wild Explosion scroll. Her gaze was fixed on the scrolls, but she would occasionally turn to glance at Leo and grin slightly.
Only after a long time did Cassia finally exhale a deep breath, close her eyes, and rub her temples with her hands. Her exhaustion, from exerting mental energy to examine the rune thoroughly was evident in the way she sagged wearily.
Just now, she hadn't been just simply glancing at it, but had been emitting her own mental energy to thoroughly examine the rune once, which had led to excessive consumption.
"Young Miss, how is it?" Ninth Uncle couldn't help but ask. He had never seen such a strange enchantment scroll before. He believed deep down that the scroll might be successful, but he hesitated to confirm.
Cassia slowly opened her eyes, ready to reveal her thoughts. Suddenly, she seemed to have thought of something and turned her head towards Valdor and his crowd, addressing him to confirm, "You're called Valdor, right?"
"Yes, yes. Do you want me to do something?" Valdor's eyes sparkled with excitement as Cassia mentioned his name, prompting him to respond eagerly.
"Take your men and go out first."
"Ah?" Valdor was dumbfounded, and hurriedly said, "That is, I am also an enchanter. If young Miss Cassia wants to study it, maybe I can help a bit."
"Get out." Cassia's tone became a bit louder. This time, her patience seemed to wear thin, showing a shift in her usual demeanor. Regardless of one's temperament, everyone has a breaking point.
"Uh, okay, then. I'll leave first, then. From now on, young Miss Cassia can find me at the Enchanter's Guild." Valdor still didn't fully give up and said.
"If you're told to get out, then get out. Stop it with the useless talk." Freya said it impatiently.
Waiting until Valdor's crowd exited, Cassia's personal guards immediately surrounded the Golden Pavilion to prevent others from entering.
"Bro," Harold wondered, "you said before that your relationship with Cassia was pretty good, right? Why is it now…"
"When did I say that my relationship with her was good?" His lies were exposed, and Valdor's face was red. Following that, he fiercely said, "What aura? Isn't it just a girl? There will be a day that I show you my formidability, hmph."
Finished speaking, Valdor brought Harold and the crew away. Staying here would only invite contempt upon themselves.
Inside the Golden Pavilion, Cassia's face was a little imposing as she looked towards Leo and asked, "Leo, was this Wild Explosion scroll really drawn by you?"
