Chapter 25 - Gate Disease Cure

Hearing what khan said, it was rather an offer to Nari. Nari was perplexed by what Khan suddenly said to her.

"What do you mean by that sir?"

What khan meant by become my servant is work under me. It was their second meeting coincidentally but what's more important is why khan said that.

[Make someone your servant - loyalty %]

Above Nari's head, there was a screen displaying a certain percentage.

[Loyalty - 98%]

It was a new quest which khan had to complete however, there remained something else in his mind.

He was to spend 30 days however he wished, he needed someone to assist him with all sorts of things which he hadn't learned about or known.

"You heard it correctly I offer you if you will become my servant"

If someone heard this, they would have gotten mad at such an offer unless... But Nari was not one of them.

"It's modern time, sir. You do understand that making someone your servant you need to give them good pay and also what sort of work your hiring them for"

Nari, somewhat agreed to work with khan more precisely saying work under khan.

Nari was financially struggling, with her current job at McDonald she wasn't making a good wage.

"You don't have to worry about it. I can give you good amount of income every month that will satisfy your needs"

"10 million won monthly salary, how is that?" Khan offered.

Hearing about the offer, Nari knew it was a wonderful one and decent.

Khan wasn't done yet, he said further "if there's anything else you want me to help you with i will gladly do so"

Nari remembered about her mother at this moment, who was ill from an unknown disease which caused her to enter a coma.

She was hesitant to speak about it to a stranger like this, it was already too much for her when she was asked about working for him with such a good salary.

Building the courage inside and hoping that this might help her, she said "I have a mother at home, who is actually sick from unknown diseases. It's just that I have to work tirelessly to earn money to pay for her medical bills. If you could–"

Without her completely what she was saying, Khan interrupted her and said. "Gate disease"

"It's a disease that occurs in average or a person who is weaker than an average person when they come in contact with a gate. It causes a person to enter a stage where he or she might enter a coma but they suffer from inside due to corrupt energy entering their bodies"

Nari made a worried expression, after knowing what disease her mother had she could not remain calm from inside. "Is there a way to cure it?"

She asked with a hope of getting good news, "yes there is a way to cure it," Khan said.

Nari becomes delighted hearing the answer, but this delightfulness of hers lasts for a short interval of time.

"But for the cure you need the rare liquid call sin pash that will cure the disease which your mother have"

"For that you need to enter lot's of gates with less than 3% chances of getting this liquid"

All hopes for Nari were shattered inside, 3% chance means you have to risk your life and face death even after that you still may not be able to obtain sin pash.

What was I hoping for… let's just leave it for now. Maybe one day I might be able to find another way to cure my mother.

She felt sadness and hopelessness for not being able to do anything for her mother, that's what she thought. She's been working tirelessly for 2 years to cure her mother of whatever job she could find.

Seeing the sad eyes, khan didn't care about this emotion which was on Nari's face.

"Don't look too lost, luckily I have one which I found while exploring inside a gate"

Nari looked at khan with a new hope which was bright, maybe a miracle for her. "Really!!"

"Wait!! You're a hunter? I thought you're an idol"

Khan displaying his usually expressionless face, looking at Nari eyes, it was a weird feeling he was getting.

"but…there's a certain condition that you have to fulfil"

It was a natural thing, if you wish to get anything valuable you must pay the price for it. Nothing in this world is for free except for oxygen.

God made them for free except for humans to fill them with prices saying it's there.

Anyhow, Nari's didn't worry about the condition, ready to face or do what khan was to tell her.

"Teach me how I can make coffee then I will give the sin pash to you"

[Huh?! What's up did you hit your head with a rock?]

Nari was in disbelief, she didn't like to believe it thinking that Khan said it as a joke.

She said, "Sir, it's a serious matter it's not a good time to joke"

Khan repeated himself once more, "I'm not joking, if you teach me this basic thing you can have the cure for your mother."

"But why such an easy condition?" she questioned.

There was a doubt filling her mind, if the condition is easy, then what if the cure might not be able to cure her mother. This doubt kept coming back and back on her mind.

Not knowing whether to trust or not, she waited for the answer.

"Truth to be told, this sin pash is of no use for me. As a hunter I don't get any gate diseases except for those who are weak"

"That's why just teaching me what I asked, I will hand it over to you then decided what you want to do next if it worked then just as I said become my servant"

She extends her hand forwards, and Khan does the same. Nari agreed to the condition which khan had presented.

Well… I hope this does work.
