with the quick of time, khan confronts the king with his army of monsters. the king front in the row he was smirking and giving cocky eyes. On the other side, khan was moderately serious.
"You must be the human who harmed one of my people…"
khan could perceive the aura the king was engulfed in. the aura of his was overwhelming but khan remained unfazed by it.
"You say I harmed your people? it must be a misleading report you have gotten, that monster was the one to attack first."
"Monster? You're calling us a monster, makes me feel sad…"
"Umm…"
khan inside craved a quick end to the king, the way he was acting wasn't all liking to khan. however, a notification from the system appeared before his eyes.
[Defeat the enemy]
[Reward – Asura Aura]
No other reward was given, nor any details were given regarding the reward which was presented. khan didn't show any signs of interest in the reward because of the missing details he thought the same that the reward mustn't hold any value.
Disappointed but with nothing to say, a quick text appeared once more, Khan gave it a look of fascination. The system offered the details of the reward.
[Asura Aura – if all the Pieces of Aura are complete then you are able to summon an Aura Beast]
[Summoning depends on the level of your mana and strength. Moreover, the larger the scale of mana the Greater Aura Beast]
what Khan had anticipated that it would be summing like a mage does. Mages can summon beasts of any type depending upon the level of the magic they could use. yet it remained a mystery what this type of unheard summoning was.
The only way to find out Khan was to end the life of who he was about to engage in a battle. the situation wasn't all in Khan's favor, looking at how the army of the enemy was, they were quite in higher numbers than Khan's Red Souls.
while their king seemed ominous, rivaling Khan's power or consisting of a higher level. predicting the outcome without a fight occurring was like a myth.
seeing how Khan wasn't listening to him, made the king burst out in anger despite that he had good control of emotion, the grin stayed on his face.
"It seems to me that you have no interest in our chit-chat."
Ending their conversation, a command from each side was made with a single word.
"Charge!" Both shouted to their armies.
Hearing the order, the armies couldn't hold any longer. They rushed against their enemies with loud screams.
"GAAARRRAAAHHH!!"
"HHAAARRRR"
"AAAHHH"
within a few seconds, both sides clashed hard. The monsters might have enormous numbers unfortunately they were failing to kill even a single red soul. their claws, weapons, and sharp teeth were of on use. if they were to bite off one's head, it was to materialize again like nothing happened.
if one's hand was cut off it reappeared again, the monsters were confused as to how they should end their enemies. while they were in utter confusion. Red souls continued their slaughter.
rapid decline in their numbers made the monsters concerned, whether he had any chance against these unkillable enemies.
Red souls contained extraordinary abilities, they had orcs that could use magic, Higon (The name of one of the Goblins) a very wise and mastered swordsmanship. healers which were of no use but… they had the most bizarre ability other than healing…
[Duplication of Damage]
[Allowing a healer to place the same level of damage done to his enemy to another one]
in simple, what this explanation meant was, that if an enemy receives damage or gets wounded, a healer will be able to copy the damage and paste it onto another enemy as he will also receive the same level of damage without anyone attacking him.
what's more to it is that, if one has a powerful defense as another can't give him a cut or any sort of damage. The copy-paste process will break through his hardest skin or whatever defense.
however, …
there are two downsides, the first one being the magic barrier, those who can cast strong barrier are able to save themselves from this ability. the second one is consuming a lot of mana.
the red souls contain there's own mana as to which their mana is not linked with the user. when their mana is 0, they become mostly harmless. but those with great physical strength have no problem except for the other ones with no talent in combat.
the process of refilling their mana is similar to Khan's it requires them to rest if there's no time for such a method one more way is to wait for slow auto refining which takes much more time.
the monsters were being pushed back by the red souls. They didn't have a proper reformation. what could they have done except for hopelessly aiming at the red souls hoping that they might die but crash down to their own deaths.
meantime… Khan and the king were to face each other. the king questioned before the battle started.
"Where is your king?"
confused but straightforward khan gave an answer, "Why does that matter? I'm the king no… I'm death"
not having what Khan said, the king laughed off with a soft smirk. "Oh, humans you haven't changed at all. I can't believe your words. You know, I can't feel the blood of any Kaijin running in your veins."
"If you are the king, why can't I feel any connection between you and Author Luis."
Kaijin? Author Luis?
Khan wasn't getting much of the things that the king was saying. Seeing the silence made the king realize that Khan wasn't someone belonging to who he was thinking.
shifting his gaze at the red souls. "How can those creatures achieve Ultima that easily. it takes us non-stop absorbing of energy, in millions only one can get his hand on Ultima after millions of years."
"I will ask you one last question" The king looked back at Khan.
"Does the world have Kajin's, System users, and Jin's?"
"And what are those now?" Khan asked.
the king burst out in laughter. Khan was getting annoyed as he wasn't getting any explanation to any of these things. thankfully system appeared with a piece of stunning information.
[unusual phenomenon]
[it appears that this Gate wasn't any common type but a rare yet special one that never occurred before]
[the monster you're facing isn't boss or anything else and the place isn't a dungeon but rather a different world]
what next the system was about to tell khan was something made his eyes wide open. [the monsters and this world belong to a different universe or maybe another dimension]
