Chapter 26 - Save Nari

When the next day arrived, Nari dressed in a very well-mannered looked at her phone multiple times. each time a single minute goes on. The time ticking was slow for her. The patient she had was narrowing by every minute.

"Where is that guy?"

Waiting for Khan, she was tapping her foot on the ground non-stop. her hands to be crossed with an expression of eagerness. tried out of waiting for Khan, she thought to leave but it wasn't something she could do.

sin pash, something that would give her aid to cure her mother, an opportunity like this she was set to wait even for the whole day; however a doubt remained in her heart whether Khan would come or not. khan provided her a specific morning time to meet.

she came on time unfortunately Khan didn't make it; it had been 2 extra passing hours but no signs of Khan anywhere close.

glanced at the coffee shop next to her impatient eyes, Nari thought to herself.

I should drink some coffee, there's no telling when he will be coming. the way he told me he would be here at an exact time. looking now I think it's whether he's sleeping, or he just doesn't care for other's problems.

To alleviate her impatience, she decided to grab a cup of coffee. A road gapping the distance between her and the shop. all she had to do was walk and cross the road. it may sound an easy task which is to be done by the footsteps.

however, …

what Nari didn't know, something patiently waited for her to take some steps forth in order to cross the road. unwarned Nari took the steps before doing, she made sure to cross the road safely but quickly.

her legs were already hurting from standing for straight 2 hours. her only desire in mind was to relax on a chair and taste the coffee of her liking.

Half of the road was crossed, and the only remaining half was for her to complete. something unexpected happened which Nari nor anyone had anticipated. Before Nari a gate appeared faster than Millisecond, it was an inch away from her.

A Gate?...

Her reaction was not quick enough to stop her in an instant, one of her foot edges made a clear contact with the gate. The Gate formation appears as a Portal. Nari's face was engulfed in fear, her body was stuck in one place.

whatever she tried, her body didn't go along with her will.

Move!! Move you d*mn body. why at such a time?!!

Energy that the gate was throwing out, mostly caused her body to tremble. the only thing Nari could do was to scream in her mind except for this. any other part of the body unable to follow the order of Her's, not even the eyes or mouth.

The gate was forcing her in. The gate suck in whoever came in contact with it, unlike the hunters. who could touch and stand in front of the gate without a consequence, Normal humans or even animals would come in face with the problem of being sucked inside the Gate with heavy force.

The only thing required was a touch to the Gate.

"NO!! NO!!! NOOOO!!!"

Nari intentionally had to enter the gate, even when she screamed.

"Help me!!"

she cried out for help, but the people around her moved far back from the gate so that they could only watch her helplessly to be consumed by the gate.

People around didn't care what happened to her, as to them only thing that mattered was their own safety. The Terrifying Energy of the Gate set the minds of people to imagine the unimaginable frightening monster Inner part of the Gate.

what they could do is to call for the hunter's help. Currently, no hunter was to be present within the reach but with the phone call, it was the option.

Nari twisted to force herself back with the support of the other foot but stayed with no success. the Gate force got massively strong, and with no luck of strength the Gate sucked her in.

"AAAAHHHH"

those who stood on the side, felt feared as their hearts beat. It could have been them as well. A man holding on to his daughter's hand, with a panic he called whatever guild picked up his number.

"Hello, what's your emergency." a male voice questioned from the other side of the phone.

"A Gate---Gate appeared. and---"

the voice coming from the other side wasn't clearly hearable or he could understand it all. however, the man listening to the call of the panicking civilian asked.

"A gate? Where sir please tell us about the location."

Before the other side could say anything further, the call was cut off. man felt the uneasiness, seeing how panicked the person on the other side was. he quickly hopped onto his computer, pressing keys on the keyboard like a flash.

Successfully, he was able to track down the location, where the call came from.

"Seoul…"

the man, loudly said to the people in the office, "Hurry!! Alert the guild about the Gate in Seoul."

"Seoul?" – "What in Seoul?"

everyone had a bewildered look displaying on their expression along with some surprised and some anxious upon hearing.

"Move fast, prepare what's necessary, and don't slow down, we are heading to the location" Do-Yun urgently shouted to his team, leading them to the mission.

"what's going to happen now?" – "Wait for the hunters to arrive, they will surely save that person" – "Nah man, what if she dies before they even reach" People were muttering with one another.

but their voices were shouted when they saw a man walking in the middle of the road. People had their gaze set on the man.

Sigh… "Even the free days aren't peaceful, now I have think about what even peace means."

it was Khan taking steps forth to the direction of the Gate, feeling a bit of annoyance. "On her first day, she caused such a hassle for me. Do I have to save her?"

[Yes – The target for the quest is Nari]

[you can't exchange any other person for her now]

[if something happens to her you will fail the mission and the penalty will be given]

[back to the empty hell]

with no choice in his hands, khan has to enter the Gate to save Nari, or else, failure will only lead to him back to the place where he never wanted to go.

"Fine… I will save her or else I won't get to learn how I can make coffee."
