Sung-woo nervously stood there, although he wanted to leave the place because the atmosphere he was feeling wasn't to his liking at all.
"Chairman" Sung-woo said, without anything further saying the chairman looked at him and said. "Yes, you're allowed to leave if you're feeling any discomfort at the moment".
Sung-woo rubs back of his neck, he nervously smiled at chairman, "it's just that I don't think I'm qualified to be here listening to any important discussion that your about to have"
Chairman, feeling sadness a bit said, "what are you saying mister Sung-woo you're the most valuable and well respected person in this whole head quarter, without you there's no hope of us hunters"
Sung-woo laughs nervously, "ha, ha, ha, chairman I appreciate what you said but I don't think I'm that qualified yet"
"Maybe one day"
Sung-woo held on to the door's handle, looking back at the chairman he said, "I will take my leave chairman".
Chairman replied, "Alright, stay safe"
Creak… Sung-woo opened the door and left right away.
Chairman shifted his gaze at Khan, who was looking at him. He was waiting for the chairman to give him some attention. So he could know the answers to his questions.
"I do like to apologise for calling you all of the sudden, I'm well aware that you're a busy type individual. But I can't let anyone in this country roam around freely without being registered as a hunter," the chairman said.
Khan folded his arms around, relaxing his back with the support of the sofa.
"You're not wrong, if I'm not registered that would make me an intruder right? Because it's illegal for a human being to move freely and live a peaceful life if he has magical powers?"
Chairman smirks, "You're not wrong. But that's not what it really means."
Khan said, "then explain it to me".
Chairman sighs and he relaxes his back with seat support. "I have no problem doing that,". "in people's point of view, they think hunters are the only ones who can protect them and that is correct"
"Now let's say a person doesn't want to register himself as a hunter when he has magical powers. He will be very limited to himself only"
"Unable to grow stronger with the abilities he or she has, which will be a big time problem as known that gates randomly appear at any place"
"If for once it appears at their place and they are not trained well, who's gonna be there to protect them?"
"People with magical power don't want to become hunter because they don't want to die, but when they realise that it's not a right decision to hide in shadows, is the moment they knowledge themselves"
"guilds usually take over the gates to grow themselves, making the unregistered once to fail in growing themselves."
Khan interrupted the chairman, and said. "I still haven't understood much of your talk but I do say humans only want to be hunters because they want fame and money isn't that right chairman"
Khan wasn't wrong, as the chairman had to agree with him. Humans' biggest desire is to have a lot of money and fame. Which they can achieve by becoming hunters.
It does come with the risk of dying but they don't really see that part but rather are blinded by the money and fame. They are always ready to take that risk.
Khan, further contiuses "you can't deny the fact that hunters are real monsters, they kill each other too. What difference does it makes between them and those monsters?"
"Greed for humans and thirst for monsters are the same".
Another voice came, interrupting Khan's speech, "but what about those who risk their lives to protect others?" It was Leon, who opened his eyes and turned his iris at khan.
"Hunters might be greedy for fame and money, but that doesn't mean they don't do their duties well."
"Everyone has their own greed, but if a hunter came for money but still does his work with honesty, there's no saying as they only want money,"
"They know that being hunter doesn't mean you just get the licence and sit at home do nothing and wait for money to come"
"To earn you have to work hard first then two things will happen, first is that he will realise the responsibilities of a hunter and become real hunter or the second is that he will run for the money and die by that greed"
Chairman said, "Certainly you're both correct. But after all, we are imperfect. We can become good and bad, controlling ourselves depends on the will we have"
"Now leaving that aside, I do like to ask you to register yourself, if you don't want to be bothered or get into any trouble,"
Khan silently looked at the chairman's face and said. "i will come back tomorrow and will do that"
