Istus, the god of spirits, was a cruel ruler. He reigned the spirits' freedom, fated to encounter their master's arrival at the spirit isles. Spirits who wander Spikinsle are forced to serve such a god. As the spirit king, I cannot allow such God to rule over my people's privilege. If he goes against my will, he shall meet the spirit's wrath.
Thereus, the god of nature, gleaned for peace. He gave birth to nature, his work of art and his masterpiece. However, the nature of his work was sinister. Revered as the father of violence, he created demons that threatened residents of Spikinsle. A god who longed for peace created violence himself. While praising his own work, the savagery of the other Gods he turned a blind eye. Such a hypocrite.
Maaldir, the ruler of demons, was Thereus' beloved work. Despised as the God of war, he plundered the lands of Spikinsle, commiting treacherous crimes. Torture, rape, slaughther— is this the peace you seek, Thereus!? Releasing a wild animal to devour your own creation!? Such God cannot exist. Only I have the power to erase such presence.
Meris, the mother of souls and a goddess I respect. She gave birth to souls, tasked to manifest life. After the physical body perishes, Meris gives choices for the soul. Reincarnation or ascension. Spirits are souls that have ascended, granted with omnipotent power in par with their righteousness during their lives. Reincarnation can increase a soul's righteousness. However, the life that soul may live may end in the abyss of hellfire.
Ulena, the goddess of judgment, apprises the souls. Responsible for sending the souls to Meris or to Zodohr. The cycle of reincarnation, a mandatory task created by Meris, can only be escaped by pleading guilty to misconduct. Violation towards the creed of the Gods is the sole crime Ulena reviews. The moment I perish, I would rely on her for meeting Meris.
Zodohr, the god of flames, is the ruler of the abyss of hellfire. Revered as the god of torture, he reigned over the tortured souls, tasked for bringing divine judgment to repugnant offenders.
Adite, the god of creation, the father of all things. He created the other gods to govern Spikinsle. Watcher of everything, he does not interfere with his creation. Such a slothful God. Although I cannot complain, I longed for the day to overthrow his throne.
Adite, Meris, Ulena, and Zodohr cannot interfere with Spikinsle. They are the watchers of creation, tasked to work behind the scenes. While Istus and Thereus had direct control within Spikinsle. They can interfere however they want outside the eyes of others.
Brandishing the sword of spirits towards the Istus and Thereus, I cursed them with the will of my blade. They will soon meet their end in the name of the spirits' will.
