Chapter 30 - Glimmer

December 18, 2021 (Done in December 21)

Words: Rescue

Humanity has not found the solution to manipulating time. Time only moved forward to the inevitable future. For me, time went backwards after Saturday reached midnight. It is currently the 300th loop. Another milestone reached. I have to celebrate my suffering once again.

Living the same week, living the same day, living the same moments. It was tiresome.

After the 10th loop, I decided to live the rest of my life checking off the bucket list. Skydiving, bungee jumping, scuba diving, climbing a mountain, getting a tattoo, riding a plane, visiting other countries, meeting my Idols, kissing a stranger, having sex with a stranger, attend an orgy, walking around naked, learn how to use a gun, shoplift, rob a bank, kill someone, massacre the whole town; everything moral and immoral. Here I am, nothing left to do.

Monday, I stayed home. Tuesday, I visited the local arcade. Wednesday, I bought a katana. Thursday, I sharpened the blade all day. Friday, I tested the katana. Saturday, I walked around slashing at pedestrians. I was on the run.

The authorities cornered me, pointing their guns towards me. Staring into the night light, I saw the glimmer of hope. The hope of ending this endless hell.

Turning the blade towards me, I thrusted the blade to my stomach. Shivering from the pain, my body toppled, bleeding. Blood gushed from my mouth. It's finally over. Or so I hoped.

Waking up from my bed, I realized that I haven't escaped hell.
