"The Raging Phoenix Guild?" Rai uttered as he reached the end of the letter.
The Raging Phoenix guild was not part of the guilds that were made accessible by Essenmages who fell within the range of 80-100 in the exams.
Essenguilds in this world of magic are organizations comprising of different Essenmages from all over the kingdom, the origins of Essenguilds arose after the appearance of the Paradoxes became more prominent.
Regions all over the kingdom were constantly attacked and invaded by these beings, tired of being victims of continuous assaults and of the losses they endured. The awakened ones came together and stood their ground against the paradoxes.
After a long and raging battle fought by both the paradoxes and this group of Essenmages. For the first time in history ever since the paradoxes appearance, humanity emerged victorious over these dimensional beings.
Marking the day 24AD as the day humanity gained victory over the demons, these individuals who came together and stood their ground made it official and became the first ever Essenguild in the world. Their accomplishments became legendary and became a driving factor for the establishments of the other Essenguilds in existence. The name bestowed upon this guild was, Fireheart.
The name "Fireheart" represented the guilds unwavering determination and will, the will to protect the place they called home.
"Raging Phoenix huh, well I guess it's better than nothing." Rai sighed, slightly disappointed at the outcome of the evaluation. Furthermore he viewed it as a good thing, if indeed the guilds listed in his score range were all dominated by nobles. They would most definitely give him a very tough time in settling in and feeling among.
"Huh?" Rai uttered softly as he noticed something else in the envelope.
Within the envelope the letter was cased in laid a little plastic card, a card which the location of the Raging Phoenix guild was inscribed in. He picked it up from inside the envelope and studied the address of the guild.
"So we are expected to proceed to our designated guild's as soon as possible huh." He murmured silently to himself.
He crashed into his couch with the letter in his hand, everything moved so fast as though there was no time to waste. But who could blame them, with the increase in the invasion of the paradoxes and their numbers the need for Essenmages increased.
"Paradoxes huh.." He mumbled, recalling the demonic entities that he faced the moment he got transmigrated.
"There is still so much I need to learn, and so much I need know. I guess the only way I can acquire this knowledge is by going to it's source." He finalized.
He proceeded to make preparations for his departure, now that he had officially become an Essenmage his journey began. He brought out a bag and packed necessary equipments such as bandages, water and more bandages. They were majorly items he used in his previous life whenever he set out on an assassination request.
Now that he was fully prepared, he set out on the journey that awaited him and left his apartment. He stopped at the hospital to check on Selena but as luck would have it, she still laid unconscious on the bed.
He departed after spending some time with her hoping her condition would get better as that was all he could do at this point.
[30 minutes later]
Finally he arrived, at the location of the Raging Phoenix guild which was situated at the outskirts of the Ronowa Empire, Fiol.
Fiol was a remote village at the outskirts of the Ronowa Empire, it's populace was dominated mostly by individuals belonging to the commoner class. It was a small but beautiful village compared to the rest of the villages that resided within the Ronowa Empire.
Their primary occupation was fishing and at times hunting, they were able to fend for themselves very well when compared to the other villages where the commoners lived in. As a matter of fact, the commoners residing in Fiol can be seen as the most wealthiest among them.
"Is this the place?" Rai asked, he stood in front of a large building. It's decor was simply breath taking in the eyes of the commoners.
The guild's exterior is a sight to behold, standing as a testament to both architectural brilliance and the mastery of essence wielded by its members. Rising proudly against the skyline, the guild's structure is a symphony of soaring spires, graceful arches, and intricate carvings that seem to dance in the light of the sun.
The main entrance is a grand portal, framed by towering columns adorned with enchanting runes that pulse with ethereal energy. Massive doors, crafted from ancient oak and reinforced with spells of protection, stand open, inviting visitors into the heart of the guild. Encrafted on the doors of the guild was the head of the Phoenix which represented the insignia of the guild.
"W-whoa...is this guild really owned by commoners?" Rai questioned as he proceeded into the guild, truly this was the definition of do not judge a book by it's cover.
As Rai pushed opened the front door, he came to realize that indeed the beauty of one's property does not reflect that of his or her personality.
His eyes met with the rugged members of the Raging Phoenix guild, every inch of the guild was noisy but there were two individuals who stood out as the star of drama. "You bastard! Where the hell did you put my schtick!?" A voice yelled.
"Huh!? How should I know!? Your the one who goes around showing it off everywhere!" Another voice exclaimed.
"....." Rai remained speechless as his eyes met with that of two individuals who held each other by their clothes.
The individual's name on the left was Micheal Lysander and on the right was Kota Matsui. Both hot headed individuals were members of the Raging Phoenix guild. They both donned a black collar robe which had the insignia of their guild at the back. It seemed like it was customary for all members of the guild to have one.
"Huh?" Micheal mumbled as his eyes caught a glimpse of Rai who stood at the door.
"Who the heck are you?" He said attempting to interrogate him.
"....." Rai still remained speechless, his expectations of the guild had dropped by a huge margin after witnessing with his two eyes the two buffoons that argued in front of him.
"Hey! Don't zone out me you bastard!" Micheal switched his fighting partner, he launched one of his shoes at Rai which connected with his forehead and took him off his feet.
"O-oww!!!" Rai yelled in a bit of pain.
He rose quickly to his feet and balled his fists as he stared down at Micheal. "What's the big idea!?"
"You don't zone out on someone who is trying to interrogate you! Are you looking for a death wish!" Michael exclaimed in response.
"Is that how you treat visitors?!" Rai lamented.
"Can't both of you just!-" Kota exclaimed attempting to join the argument but was quickly shut down by both Rai and Micheal.
"Shut up!" Both Rai and Micheal lashed out at Kota.
"What's with all the ruckus!? Can't a man nap in peace!?" A loud and intimidating voice echoed throughout the guild, everywhere became silent as a huge masculine figure stormed down the stairs of the guild.
This man possessed silky black hair, a perfectly toned muscular body, black eyes and a pair of black trousers. In addition, he was shirtless.
"Master! Kota did it again! He stole my schtick!" Michael complained.
"I did not! He probably lost it when pulling one of his useless stunts again!" Kota retaliated.
"You damn idiots interrupted my nap for a goddamn rock!?" The large man exclaimed as a burst of aura emanated from his body and blew the two of them off their feet.
"Shit.." Rai uttered softly as he stepped back with fear.
"This large shirtless man is the master!?" He exclaimed in his thoughts.
"What?" The master of the Raging Phoenix guild uttered as his eyes met with Rai's.
"You don't look familiar..who the hell are you?" He as well interrogated Rai.
"U-uh.." Rai stammered.
"Rai Voltia, he's the commoner who managed to get an outstanding score in the Essenmages exams. A voice spoke from behind Rai, it was a voice quite familiar to Rai which made his eye brows widen a bit as he turned to face the figure that spoke.
"You are.." He uttered in disbelief.
"I believe we've met before, I am Princess Abigail. But seeing as we are now guild mates, you can call me Abigail." The figure revealed herself to be the princess of the Ronowa Empire.
