"P-princess Abigail!?" Rai shouted out with shock, what the living hell was the princess of the Ronowa Empire doing in a place like this?
"Your shocked too right?" Kota said as he got to his feet and dusted his clothes.
"Wait wait wait, are you saying her score was not favourable?" Rai asked out of curiosity.
"Don't be ridiculous Rai Voltia, I got a perfect 100 on the dot." Abigail replied with pride.
"As expected of her majesty." Micheal said getting up to his feet. "Damn...you don't have to be so rough captain." Michael spoke to the head of the Raging Phoenix, his name was Kazuya Mitsushi. He was a commoner as well, but much like Ford he was a commoner that gained recognition in the eyes of the king.
"Eh? Shut it you damn fool." Kazuya sighed, he was mentally tired of having to deal with this same set of individuals every passing day.
"In all honesty I am as surprised as you all, especially since she was the one who volunteered to join us." Kazuya revealed how such a high status individual had joined a group where commoners mostly resided.
"Wait what!?" Rai exclaimed.
"She requested to join on her own free will? Why would she do such a thing?" Rai inquired, he found no logical reason why someone of royal blood who possessed an insane level of essence pool would join a guild like this.
"My guess is, she's not a fan of their toxicity." A feminine voice spoke from behind, her sweet and angelic voice echoing throughout every corner of the guild.
"Huh?" Rai mumbled, turning to face his back. His eyes met with that of a dazzling beauty who possessed light blue eyes, white skin and white hair. Mei Misaki was the name bestowed upon this beauty and her dazzling appearance reflected her essence.
"Welcome to the Raging Phoenix." She said holding a long stick with a rectangular stamp attached at the end of it in her right hand, and a black collar neck cape with the guild's logo at it's back in his left hand.
She approached Rai, smiling gracefully at him as she lifted the rectangular stamp which had the insignia of the guild underneath it. "Where would you like your guild mark?" She asked.
"Hm.." Rai examined his whole body searching for the most suitable place to apply the mark. "Here I guess." He answered as he rolled up his right sleeve.
"Understood." Mei responded, she placed the stamp on the right side of his shoulder and applied a bit of pressure on it. As she removed it, the guild's mark which was the head of a phoenix appeared on his shoulder with a red color.
Abigail arrived much earlier than Rai so she had already received her guild mark.
"With this, you are now officially part of the Raging Phoenix." She smiled.
"Alright!" Rai proclaimed as he was visibly excited.
"Now that we are done with the formalities..." Kazuya's voice got deeper as he spoke. "If you ever interrupt my nap time like this two idiots, I'll kill you." He said, imposing a stern warning to Rai.
"Y-yes!" Rai responded feeling intimidated by Kazuya's overwhelming presence.
"Alright! Now we're good to go! Yesterday was a free day so don't you damn fools think about slacking off!" Kazuya exclaimed addressing his entire guild.
"Yes sir!" All the guild members responded and instantly rushed towards the request board, they all grabbed a quest and ran outside the guild swiftly.
"What's happening?" Rai asked in confusion, everybody seemed in a bit of hurry causing his curiosity to spike.
"It's the monthly job rush, I guess you're not used to this since it's your first time joining a guild." Micheal responded as he walked up to the request board.
"Job rush?" Rai said even more confused.
"It's a process on how the best guild's in the kingdom are ranked, based on the performance of the jobs taken by guilds monthly. Points are awarded based on the guild's efforts and achievements, at the end of the year those points are complied and added together. The guild with the highest points after the compilation are ranked the top guild in the kingdom." Michael said, explaining the guild ranking system in the Ronowa Empire.
"I see.." Rai mumbled as he seemingly gained an understanding to how the ranking system worked. "What rank is the Raging Phoenix?" He asked.
"Huh? Hahahahaha!" Michael laughed out. "We are the last in the rankings, whatever did you expect from the only commoner's guild in the whole of the kingdom?"
"Is there a reason you are laughing? Get to work!" Kazuya exclaimed.
"Alright alright." Micheal said as he tore off a request from the board and examined it. "Oh this looks interesting, wanna tag along noob?" Michael smirked as he spoke to Rai.
"Noob?" Rai scoffed, with a tenacious smile drawn on his face. "I think you'd find that this noob is more experienced than you imagined.
"Oh?" Michael uttered as he took the quest to the counter for approval. "It's a retrieval quest, so I don't think the level of difficulty of the mission will be that high. A perfect start to show you the ropes." He added.
"Alright! Let's do it!" Rai exclaimed with excitement as he clenched his fists.
"I like your spirit dude." Micheal commented on his determination.
As both of them were about to set out, Abigail interfered as she stood in front of them both.
"I want to join your team on this quest." She requested.
"Huh!?" Both Rai and Michael exclaimed with disbelief.
"You are most definitely strong enough to complete a quest by yourself." Michael stated.
"So you don't need to team up with anyone." Rai added.
Abigail chuckled as she looked up to face the two. "I'm sorry, I didn't make such a request properly." Her facial expressions dropped, her eyes displaying a bit of malice.
"I want to join your team on this quest." She requested again, her voice sounding more intimidating than before.
Both individuals moved backwards a bit intimidated. "Oh great, another monster." Michael said in his thoughts.
"Alright alright, you can join our team." Rai agreed at last.
"Now that wasn't so hard was it?" Abigail smiled, her face beaming with excitement.
