"Really he laughed, your childhood crush,I wonder who that might be" he said with a serious stare.
"She's just tryna be silly, don't pay attention to whatever comes out from her mouth"she rolled her eyes at Randa who was busy chewing a piece of meat.
"I'm not tryna be silly it's the truth I'm telling" she gave him Puppy eyes.
"Randa…"their mom called .
"Yes.. mom"
"Focus on the plate before you "she commanded.
"Hmm I was just…." She hasn't completed her statement when her dad interrupted.
"Randy…enough of the talking huh,we all know you're telling the truth, but they are times when the truth isn't the best solution…"
"But dad…you always tell us to tell the truth at all times".
"Not now Randy,it's best heard from the horse's mouth "he glared at her.
"But the horse wouldn't want to speak out" she cried.
"Then you let it be that way okay?".
"No dad I help out instead "
"Randa…" they all shouted.
"Huh..,it seems like everyone is against me" she arched her brow.
"You keep mute right now"Mirabel commanded.
"Okay…okay whatever I was only tryna help, I guess my help isn't needed ".she rolled her eyes.
"No it isn't " Mirabel glared at her.
"This is interesting! Jeremy blurted, what is the Morries tryna keep secret from me huh?" He asked curiosity laced in his tone.
They all gave him a surprised look but no one spoke out, they all kept mute eating their dinner.
"Well…I really would love to know that childhood crush of yours huh"he gave Mirabel a sweet sad look.
"He is no one" she returned his look with a feigned smile.
"Hmm he sighed I don't think it's no one" he arched his chin.
"Can we please continue dinner in silence? "Her mom said interrupting their conversation .
"Yeah" they both answered.
" Puppy has a childhood crush? He thought, but she never told me about it, I believe we always tell each other everything though she's more honest than I am. Or is she tryna keep it as her little secret? He laughed. Well I think I gotta find who it is,it's definitely not Michael she has just known him about a month ago at a friend's birthday party. She's getting real interesting ".
He stared at her as if the answers to his questions were boldly written on her face.
"Is anything the matter? She asked tensed. Is there something on my face?".
"No…yeah..I mean… he stuttered, well it's this "he removed a little crumb of greens from her mouth.
"Oh.. she gasped,thanks".
"Yeah" he smiled.
"Hmm"her mom sighed and bowed her head with a smile threatening to encroach her face.
"Aint they so perfect together ".
