Chapter 15 - She's Badass

Seyan swiftly carried Reyo and headed to the infirmary. Despite her being exhausted from all the fighting, she gritted her teeth and kept on holding her tighter. As she passed by the long corridors, she earned herself a couple of stares however, she didn't care about it.

The bloody wounds on Reyo's neck had tried up however, the ugly cuts were enough to send shivers down her spine. Seyan suddenly caught sight of two bite marks and she cussed inwardly ' Damn it! these bloodthirsty beasts can't keep their sharp canines in check'

'Hang in there little sis. Everything's going to be ok,' she whispered inwardly.

Finally, Seyan reached the infirmary, kicked the door and rushed inside. The two doctors immediately turned their necks and stared at the patting Seyan.

They rushed towards her and helped her with Reyo. The first doctor quickly began cleaning Reyo's wounds while the other installed an intravenous drip on the unconscious Reyo.

Seyan was chased out of the mini compartment where a blue hospital curtain was hauled. She paced to and fro, her clothes soaked in blood. She frustratingly ran a hand through her hair. How could she be ok when her sister is lying unconscious? Worst of all the culprit still loitered outside looking all smug. One has to atone for their sins, thought Seyan, her gaze turning serene yet cold with a glint of determination in her eyes.

Meanwhile, outside the infirmary, the students murmured about the latest incident. As the saying goes, rumours spread faster like fire in a forest.

"Oh my gosh! did you see how she rushed to the infirmary? so fast, I want to be carried like her," exclaimed one of the fawning minion girls.

They only knew that Seyan had saved her sister. Almost half of the truth was unknown. The culprit surely knew how to cover their tracks, out of sight, out of mind. A few minutes later, the two doctors opened the curtain, alerting Seyan who immediately dashed towards them.

"How's my sister?" she asked worriedly

"She's doing fine, just a bit of shock and a fever but she'll be fine after some rest," explained one of the doctors. The doctors left Seyan to look after Reyo.

At the same time, in a certain classroom, two boys sat by the window, they seemed to be discussing something when suddenly, the door of the room burst open. A dark-haired boy held his knees panting heavily. It seemed he had dashed here to tell some news.

"Laine...Huff...Huff.. she's a badass," stammered the boy in between gasps.

Laine shared knowledge with his friend, Nik. They knew whom he was talking about. Only Seyan piqued their interest. So the other boy blabbered the whole story about what happened. It seemed he happened to see Seyan land those fierce fists on them. However, he was also shocked as to how such a meek and frail-looking girl could out beat the big muscular guys.

Nik smiled brightly as if he had expected of her. There was something about Nik that Laine found strange. He thought that his friend would never be able to open up his heart however, it seemed like his cold heart slowly began to melt. Despite it being a good thing, Laine still worried for him. He only hoped that things won't end badly for him. As his only trusted friend, he vowed to protect him silently.

In the school infirmary, Seyan had her head rested on the mattress while she slept uncomfortably. Despite her posture, she slept peacefully. Time passed by until the unconscious Reyo finally flickered her eyes open. Scanning her surroundings, she felt something heavy on her hand. She slightly frowned and glanced at her hand and came face to face with the intravenous drip. Seyan furrowed her brows a bit feeling some kind of movement.

Slowly opening her eyes, her vision was quite blurry from sleep. Her sight gradually brightened as she realised Reyo was awake. She finally squealed with joy, "Reyo, my baby sis. You're finally awake. You scared the shit out of me."

She said while hugging her tightly. She didn't know how long she did it but only left the embrace when Reyo complained of losing her breath. Seyan called the doctor who checked up on Reyo. She prescribed some medicine for her and also some instructions to prevent her wounds from getting infections. By the time they left the infirmary, the classes were done. Reyo had slept for a long time because of her fever. Her body being susceptible to infections, she easily fell ill.

Seyan guided Reyo to their shared room and put her to rest. She changed into another pair of clothes and headed out to buy dinner. Reaching the cafeteria, she could feel the strange and piercing gazes from the students. Nonetheless, she didn't waver from them it wasn't her first time being in school and gazing at them. However, it was a different case here as she was Seyan, the princess. But so what? she can be her past self, Cavannah and be Seyan at the same time. Finally, it was her turn to get her food where she held two plates of which the other belonged to Reyo.

Meanwhile, along a dark corner, a silhouette dressed in a black hood stared at the two injured gangsters. Irritation flashed on her face as she frowned. It seemed she had underestimated her opponent and overestimated herself. She thought that Seyan was easy to bully. Nonetheless, she mumbled, "This time you won but it doesn't mean you'll win the next."

She cast a disdained look at the two injured rogue-looking guys and threw a stack of cash at them. Before leaving, she hypnotised them, erasing their memories of the incident that happened.

Unbeknownst to the trio, a silhouette hid in the shadows watching their every move. His eyes glowed intensely, nonetheless, he didn't seem to have the intention to reveal himself.

He murmured silently, "So this is what you were up to. Quite interesting."
