[Eris International Airport]
Vida stood in line waiting for her turn to check in. She stared at her ticket written 'Lincoln Airlines' in golden letters with complicated emotions swaying in her eyes. She had booked the economy class for this way she could save some money to begin her new life in the destined city.
Eventually, it was her turn to check in and a couple of minutes later, she headed towards the waiting lounge leaving her decent-sized black suited case to be placed into the plane.
The waiting lounge was a huge hall with large woollen seats. The cold air from the AC slightly blew on her cheeks making them a bit numb. Nonetheless, it wasn't enough to numb the surging emotions in her heart. She was going to a new city where she could start afresh...a fresh new page, new identity, new job and new everything. Mere thinking about it made her heart sink further. She had already lost the small life that had grown in her womb. The only thing that remained was pain.
Vida couldn't bear to bother her now-aged mother who was still struggling with her life. Besides, she still owes her for saving her life. Her foster brother was still a teen high school student who still needed support so she couldn't disrupt them with her problems. Vida sighed for the nth time as she wondered how life had still been unfair to her.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the room, interrupting her from the endless train of thoughts, "All travellers boarding Lincoln airlines, please head to gate 4b."
Vida stood up and followed the crowd that headed towards gate 4. Minutes later, they all boarded the plane and began taking off the ground, soaring towards the sky. As the flight went higher and higher, Vida saw the large city of Legalese shrink until she no longer see it anymore. A tear dropped as she whispered, 'Goodbye Legalese.'
Meanwhile, a black car parked out of Eris International Airport and a brown-haired man hastily exited the car and dashed towards the airport entrance. Entering the door, he came face to face with his two subordinates. Both bore defeated looks as they had their heads down. The man knew they had failed to do their task. The man pinched his nose bridge to control his emotions. He didn't want to show his anger.
Since young, the first thing. Ron had learnt to control were his emotions. However, when it came to Vida he seemed to be so helpless. To her, he could show her every side of him. Though Vida was tolerant of his mood swings, he had hurt her. He didn't realize how he had fallen so deeply in love with her that he felt that he was almost going psycho for her.
The brown-haired Ron quickly left the airport without saying anything and entered his car. He stared into space dazed as he couldn't believe that she had left. A small voice sarcastically laughed in his mind, "Hahaha, what did you think when you hurt her?"
[Arcando's Light]
In a dark room, a frail-looking girl lay supine on the floor, her hand tied behind her back. She slowly flickered her eyes open only to be welcomed by the darkness. Fear began crawling up her spine, sending her body into a series of shivers.
Most scaring she couldn't notice the surroundings and nor did she see anyone around. Perhaps she thought she had hidden her fear quite well but I'm reality she was nyctophobic. She instantly began panicking and for a moment she felt her breath turn uneven yet she couldn't do anything.
'Young miss please save me.'
'Anyone please save me
She pleaded in her mind hoping for a ray of hope to appear. Just then she heard the door burst open and in emerged a silhouette dressed in a large long robe. She couldn't see the owner's face which made her panic more.
"So Reyo, you're finally awake?" vibrated the voice, creeping her even more.
Reyo didn't say anything and shut her eyes silently praying.
Reyo suddenly flickered her eyes open when she felt a sharp pain in her neck. Just like that, a liquid trickled down her neck. The pain forced her to open her eyes while she forced swallowed down the gasp of pain. A tear dropped down her cheeks, the only way to express the pain she felt.
"Hahaha! what a weak little servant! Do you know just how pathetic you look? Your expression surely gives me a sense of pleasure. Your little master messed with someone she shouldn't have and now you're to pay for her sin. Hahaha," taunted the voice.
Realising that the voice belonged to a female, Reyo could only gulp silently as she waited for doom to befall her. Just then she felt a sharp blade pierce her arm.
"Aah! please stop," she pleaded painfully.
"Yeah! just like that. Scream all you can, I want to see her face when she sees all the close people around her suffer. How dare she humiliate me! The nerve of hers."
Tears kept on mercilessly dropping down her face while she could only endure the pain inwardly.
At the same time, Seyan looked at her mini gadget which showed a signal of her target. Deep down she couldn't shake off the feeling that Reyo...no her little sweet adorable sister was in trouble. For a moment her strides increased faster and finally turned into runs. Finally, a couple of moments later, she halted at a door that she believed her target was behind the door.
Meanwhile, the otherwise of the door, little Reyo was about to be snatched of her innocence. As two masked guys held her arms tightly while trying to undress her. Just before they could tear off her blouse, the door that looked too locked burst open with a loud bang.
Seyan saw her little sister's scared look and her teary eyes made her clench her fists in anger and sadness. She lunged towards the guy before Reyo and punched him in the face. Not stopping there, he kicked his sides twice before flipping him aside. The other guy appeared behind Seyan trying to sneak attack her but having attended private combat lessons paid off. He felt his presence and swiftly turned just in time to land a blow in her stomach.
The guy staggered and fell on the floor in pain. Seyan quickly untied Reyo and hugged her tightly, "I'm sorry Reyo. I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry, this won't happen again."
Seyan sweated profusely while her heart thumped just thinking if she came a bit later. She couldn't imagine those guys doing horrible things to her sister. Seyan, hissing inwardly and murmured, "I swear Yona, I'll pay you two folds."
