Chapter 26 - Underhanded

Gorgo swung down his axe, but I jumped backward and avoided the hit. The weapon hit the ground and cracked it while making the area tremble.

"I bet that is going to hurt if it lands."

Gorgo tried to raise his weapon, but soon he grunted in pain after his face was hit by envious flame. His face burned for a bit, but soon the flames extinguished. It looked like he had some resistance to flames, but his face still got some burn marks and he glared at me thanks to it.

At the same time, everyone around got silent thanks to that. I bet orcs don't know how to use magic and soon I confirmed.

"You coward!"

"Don't use magic, you work!"

"Have you no shame?"

"Where is your honor, you piece of garbage bones?"

"Etcetera"

I ignored the slanders since I didn't have any reason to fight by their rules. If they didn't like that, they can come at me later and taste the power of my bone sword… wait, that sounded so wrong. Screw that, I am the rules.

"You need some sunscreen, buddy."

Gorgo charged since my worries made him take ninety points of mental damage. Still, despite his rage, he kept his ax in hand to block the attacks. I ignored that and charged for the first time. Then we swung our weapons and then they collided.

As the bone sword and ax collided in a clash of titanic force, a shower of sparks erupted from the point of impact, casting a dazzling display of light and shadow across the battlefield.

The sparks danced and flickered like miniature stars, their brilliant glow illuminating the darkness with an ominous radiance. Each spark seemed to crackle with the raw energy of the clash, carrying with it the fury and intensity of our anger locked in mortal combat.

For a brief moment, time seemed to stand still as the sparks filled the air, casting the battlefield in a surreal haze of light and shadow. In that fleeting instant, the clash of bone sword and ax seemed to epitomize the struggle between life and death, order and chaos. It was a battle of wills as much as it was a clash of weapons, each of us vying for supremacy in the crucible of combat.

In the end, Gorgo managed to overpower me and then pushed the bone sword to the side… when he began to prepare the next swing, I hit his face several times with Envious Flame.

"Urgghhhh… you bastard! Fight like a man!"

"Shut up, I don't follow your rules, I am the rules. Geez… you are so unreasonable. It is only getting worse because people are getting dumber."

Using Envious Flame wouldn't be enough to kill Gorgo, but at least it was working to make him pissed and there is nothing easier to deal with than an angry enemy. However, taunting him too much would be a pain in the ass since I would have a hard time putting his underlings on the line.

"I guess I will just show the difference in skill."

I threw the shield aside and then summoned another bone sword, and then used a skill that I got a few days ago… it was called Aura of Hatred.

As the transformation began, my bones began to undergo a startling metamorphosis. What was once a stark white skeletal form now seemed to pulse with a vibrant crimson hue, as if infused with the very essence of hate itself.

Starting from the core and radiating outward, the bones of my body took on a deep, rich red coloration, their surfaces gleaming with an otherworldly sheen. As the red hue spread, a dark aura began to emanate from every part of the transformed body, shrouding it in an ominous cloak of shadow and malevolence. The air crackled with an electric energy as the aura pulsed and shifted, casting flickering shadows that danced across the ground in a macabre display.

Though the figure remained skeletal in form, there was an undeniable sense of vitality and power that radiated from my state. It was as if the very essence of hatred and death had merged into me, creating a being that defied conventional understanding.

"Let's rock, baby."

I charged at the enemy and then thrusted both sword upward. Gorgo blocked the attack with his ax, but soon he was pushed backward and opened his eyes widely… when I moved away the sword, he prepared to counterattack, but I just spun my body and kicked his right side.

Gorgo groaned in pain and then tried to recover, but soon he saw me swinging down my bone sword and he blocked them with his ax… but then he jumped backaward when he saw another kick coming.

Before he could even land, Gorgo saw me running toward him much faster than before… when he landed, he readied his ax to block the attack, but soon he was surprised by a massive swarm of trust attacks. My attacks were too fast, but since the ax was big and sturdy, Gorgo blocked them all… still, at the moment he showed an relaxed smile… I targeted his hands and with four thrust attacks, his fingers fell and began to roll on the ground.

Blood gushed from the wounds as Gorgo groaned in pain… the grip in his axe decreased and the weapon suddenly felt heavier… he glared at me with all his might, but that only made me feel refreshed.
