Chapter 3 - Funeral

I was shocked. Why? Why did this happen?! I screamed.

A very loud one. My dad got to me faster than mom.

"Elizabeth… Elizabeth, what's wrong?!" my father said hurriedly.

At first he didn't see Nancy, but when he looked at my eyes fixed on her body, he realized.

"Oh god," said my father.

He ran to Nancy and picked her up. Thought there was still hope. Fathers are really nine.

"MARGARET!" dad shouted.

mom quickly reached the room and got shocked. It took her a few seconds to figure it out. Interestingly, death is shocking even for an elite like her.

"Oh my god, Nancy!" my mom said tearly.

"Get Ella out of here. Call emergency, hurry!"

No matter how hard it was, dad brought Nancy down.

Fifteen minutes later the emergency came, but it was too late. My dad was a doctor, he realized that Nancy was dead right away.

Shortly after the emergency, the police came. Start asking my parents questions, while I was wrapped around a blanket. My body was shaking unconsciously and I couldn't do anything.

"It's ok sweety, calm down," said the emergency woman in a kind voice.

She gave me a medicine to calm me down. She was a kind woman, but I wasn't really in a condition to be calm.

Two men in white clothes put Nancy's body in a black bag and took it away.

The police were interrogating my parents.

"I told you, I don't know what happened! My daughter was fine!" Said dad to police officer.

"Didn't something happen in the house that made her sad?!" Asked police officer.

"Nothing. Our family is very calm. I don't remember the last fight in this house," My mother said while wiping her tears.

I was close to them and heard their words. suddenly remembered what happened last night in the cinema. Nancy changed completely from that moment. I mean, it might be because of that?!

"Something happened to us," I said with a tired voice.

The police officer and my parents came to me.

"Tell me my dear, what happened?" Asked the police officer.

My mom sat next to me and stroked my hair.

"On the way back from the cinema, three men stopped us,"

I told them the whole story. My mother put her hand over her mouth and walked away crying and my father knelt on the ground. It was like his back was broken. didn't say anything, but I could tell from his face that something terrible had happened.

From that day, I became depressed and had no purpose in life. There was nothing that made me want to live.

Nancy was buried magnificently. But what a pity! I wish I could see this glory at her wedding.

Important people were present there. Several famous surgeons and scientists whose names I had only read in books. Even the mayor, the prosecutor and the chief of police had come. All these people were our family friends.

One of the culprits of Nancy's death was also present in that crowd. Kevin also came to the funeral. I didn't care if he was really upset or pretended to be upset. He was as guilty as those three men.

Seeing Kevin and remembering his conversation with Nancy made me sad and even angry. I went to him.

"What you doing here, go away!"

"Ella, I'm sorry this happened," He put his hand on my shoulder, "Nancy was very lovely,"

How ridiculous! He does not even blame himself at all!. I pushed his hand away.

"Yes, she was a very nice and lovely. And she deserved much more than you, asshole!" I said angrily.

"What you mean?!" He asked.

"I heard your conversation, you brok up with her!"

Kevin was shocked, didn't think I knew this. He tried to explain himself.

"I only did this because she wanted to go to university! so she could focus on her studies" Kevin said.

Bullshit! Even a fool can detect this lie.

I couldn't bear to see him anymore and didn't even want him to be near my sister's grave. I took his hand and pulled him away from Nancy' grave in front of everyone.

Unfortunately, my father stopped me and saved Kevin from a big humiliation.

I will never forget him. I remember all his disgusting face. hope to see him again, alone.

At the end of the ceremony, as everyone left, I stood by Nancy's grave. looked at her age written on the stone. 18 years. Really short time.

It was raining. My parents sat in the car so that I could be alone with my sister. I touch her grave.

"You told me that you're always with me. Now look, I am alone. Why did you do this Nancy?! Why did you leave me alone?" I sat to the ground, my eyes were wet, "Please, just this once, tell me it's going to be okay,"

My clothes and hair were completely wet. I threw myself on the grave and cried loudly.

"Get up…please. don't leave me alone,"
